CHAPTER SEVEN ; TRIAL
CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 7 Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. The garden is strangely silent and there are no snacks today...it seems as though you'll be left to your own devices. ![]() Welcome to your trial post! Please see here for the OOC summary of events from yesterday's investigation. In addition, please be sure to vote! [ he's joking. on both counts? ]

[SARCASM.]
Let's just get out of here before we lose our heads. Literally. Either at you good at breaking out of prison?
no subject
no subject
[ that's. the best he can offer. ]
no subject
[UNSURE.]
I, um. I could try making lockpicks with my gift, maybe? Everyone knows I'm a villain by now, anyway.
no subject
... If all else fails— [he whips out shirasu's headband] —I've got this?
[... sorry shirasu]
no subject
[ may as well share that info.
squints at the headband. ]
no subject
[@castle wtf?? Also, squinting at the headband as well.]
Okay. Great. That's cool. [LORD.] Just— Give me a second and if this fails, we try that.
[Whatever that is!! Either way, she's just kind of... mashing her hands together repeatedly to create ice until she has something that more or less resembles a lockpick. She then promptly proceeds to shove it at them. Take it away.]
no subject
anyhow, belph takes it and promptly starts trying to pick the lock like someone who may or may have picked a lock or two in their lifetime.]
no subject
[ but okay, that power is neat as fuck veronica??
he'll watch belph get the lock open. belph can be the professional here. magnus is more a credit-card-in-the-door-jam thief. ]
Good news is if it breaks, it can melt in there and Veronica can make another one?
no subject
[PROBABLY. The most she's done with her powers is keep her drinks perma-chill and ruin the Kitchen for Sanji and Evan. :(]
... It should be strong enough to make it through, anyway. They wanted me to stab someone with an icicle? Kind of counterproductive if it snaps the moment it hits something hard.
no subject
[anyway, fiddle fiddle fiddle until the lock opens! hurrah!]
no subject
Did you ever stab anyone with an icicle?
[ nice nice nice ]
Okay, let's escape and then... I guess we need a sleeping potion?
no subject
but also.]
Tempting [eichi!!], but hell no.
[Making her way out of town, walking fast, getting the heck out of this dungeon...]
If one of you has a convenient sleeping potion on them, now would be a great time to speak up.
no subject
[leaving the dungeon... also presumably a key pops up or something, so someone should. pick that up.]
no subject
[ if veronica or belph doesn't, magnus will swipe that and tuck it into a pocket. one down!! ]
Sorry, fresh out of potions. Maybe there's an... apothecary lab down here? For potions and poisons or whatever?
no subject
Maybe? It's a kingdom. And— We're in knock-off Wonderland, anyway. For all we know, someone could have left a potion laying around.
[Off they go, presumably towards the exit.]
no subject
[off they go to hopefully not die.]
no subject
That'd be shitty. Keep an eye out for vials or bottles that say "DRINK ME" I guess?
[ slipping through the exit they go, probably. hopefully uh. no guards are near by? ]
no subject
[The castle is a piece of shit!! Anyway, lbr. If there are any guards, they're totally snoozing because these three idiots aren't exactly quiet.
That, or, you know. They're going to comically wander past their empty jail cell and realize the prisoners have escaped just about now, making a racket in the distance? Unfortunate.]
no subject
[yeah uh
they should probably be more sneaky about this.]
no subject
he's looking for signs of like, an apothecary or wizard's lab or whatever the fuck. if he was a sleeping potion, where would he be?
in a pharmacy aisle, labelled ambien. ]
Let's try not to get caught.
no subject
[So, no. Might want to speed things up before a guard seriously finds them, though. Can they miraculously hide in a guard's ambien stash. Just asking.]
no subject
whispering—]
If worse comes to worst, we can always stab them?
no subject
We're not stabbing anyone!
[ but ambien stashes aside, maybe if they pick a door to go through to hide they can find where potions and shit are kept? ]
