EPILOGUE ;
EPILOGUE - WEEK 7 Wake up, Narrators. You've done well this past weekend. As you awaken on this beautiful morning, the doors to the castle are wide open and a festive mood fills the air. Music can be heard from the garden and the ballroom, the dining room's overflowing with tasty treats and beverages, and everything is awash in a soft glow of purples, reds, and golds. Yet as you exit from your dormitories for the last time, several things will be noticeable to you... Lining the hallways, several new ornate mirrors flank either wall. Each mirror is engraved with the name of a Narrator and allows each participant of this war to view their world back home. They will be able to see who they wish to see and the current state of affairs in their world. They will also, thanks to their adventures in the Other Space, be able to view the future of their home worlds and what's at stake for them. No matter where they are in the castle, each Narrator will also find themselves presented with a leatherbound book, a jar of ink and a fresh quill. As they open the book they will see a write-up of their story up until now with several blank pages at the end of the book. As promised, the ink won by the Dragon's ending is enough to allow Narrators to write their own happy endings... even those that directly clash with what they've been able to witness for themselves in the mirrors. Go ahead, write yourself into the universe of another Narrator. The story is yours to tell. Alternatively - if you seek to write a new story for yourself entirely, additional pages will be provided for you to draft up that fresh start. Meanwhile, the longer you linger around the castle it will become clear that it's much noisier than it should be for only forty people. Venturing further downstairs you will find several guests waiting for you. Some of these may be people you know from your own worlds, brought here to take you home thanks to the extra magic obtained from the Other Space. Others are past participants from previous rounds of this war, battle stories and triumphs to share. Apparently they'd received an invitation to a celebration to mark the end of it all. Even those who had died from previous rounds and not revived are present. While it had been thought that they'd been lost in the Other Side when there was not enough ink to revive them - it appears that they'd been given new life via your efforts. The clock in the foyer seems to have stopped. Take all the time you need to say your goodbyes... you are in charge of your own destiny from here on out. ![]() Welcome to your farewell log, everyone! A couple of fun notes for your perusal. Due to the efforts of characters yesterday in the mini-adventures, characters have unlocked the ability to preview their futures and decide their own destinies. Additionally, they have unlocked the ability for castmates to visit them in the castle, along with characters who have participated in previous rounds of the war! Please feel free to tag in with your gamemates' castmates or other characters from previous rounds that you can make your own Grimm AU for. If you want to share where your character is going, comment here. Your final CR chart is here, your TL;CR meme is here and your friending/love meme is here. Thank you guys so much for a wonderful eight weeks! We hope you had a magical experience here with us. ♥

I'll do my best. I've at least made friends with people who frown as much as his figurine did.
[ not a lie. ]
no subject
Ah, is that so? You really do sound like you have interesting friends.
no subject
... You're beautiful, though, so Impey might flirt with you. You're allowed to hurt him if he does.
no subject
Ah, he must really be quite the troublemaker to warrant a reaction like that from you.
no subject
[ though she says so fondly. ]
It's a little odd to think that I've been here for two months... that I haven't seen them for that long. But I think if this had happened, I wouldn't have wanted to go back.
no subject
It is strange... But I'm sure they'll be very happy to have you back.
[Yes, even though time is apparently frozen.]
no subject
And I'm sure the same can be said for your friends, too.
... If this isn't really goodbye, then I don't think I'll say that I'll miss you. [ as she carefully tucks the crane away in a pocket. ]
But I will say thank you. I love you, Souji.
[ just not in the "we must bang" sort of way. Still. Cardia thinks she can at least grasp the emotion behind "love" a lot better now, and she's grateful enough for that. ]
no subject
But it only really shows in the delight on his face as he sweeps Cardia into his arms once more, just to enjoy it again. Even if it's not really goodbye, that doesn't mean he won't miss her, after all.]
I love you, too. Thank you for everything - thank you for all of it.
no subject
I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.
[ She's never heard "I love you" in her life, so if her words emerge a little thickly, that's absolutely why. ]
no subject
The future will be far, far kinder for us both from here on, though.
[A bold thing to say, but.
Well.
They do have the power to make it so.]
no subject
But Cardia laughs, going along with it. A slow spin is... very much like him, really. ]
I want to believe in that.
no subject
Anyway better believe they're just APPARENTLY GOING TO HAVE A DANCE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM. It's fine, it's a party anyway.]
A good thing we've been shown just how much can come from believing then, hm?
no subject
[ Just. For the record. BUT SURE I GUESS WE'RE DANCING NOW. ]
no subject
[Imagine if they'd all just been hopeless and directionless... They would have badended the game week 4.]
no subject
[ they wouldn't have even made it to week 4. ]
no subject
Exactly so! I think it was just a good combination of all the best things and all the best people.
[LIKE CARDIA.]
no subject
[ She's just dropping her forehead on his shoulder, now you're just embarrassing her. ]
no subject
Ah? Can't I see your face?
no subject
It hasn't changed.
no subject
[But that's said with a laugh in his voice, and he pivots them both into another spin.]
no subject
[ But again, she allows this. It feels like so long since they'd danced together, and this will be their last time for awhile. So even as Cardia sighs a little petulantly, her grip tightens just a bit. ]
no subject
[That's a definite, god... But as long as she's not actually miffed, he'll just carry on turning in small circles. Probably leading them away from the other people or food and toward the actual dance floor proper, at least.]
no subject
[ Again, though, she doesn't let go, even if she seems to be aware of where he's gently spinning them. ]
no subject
As their dance goes on:]
It's nice, dancing with you.
no subject
... I agree. I didn't think we'd have the opportunity to, but... if this is how we spend the last of our moments here together, I'm fine with that.
