EPILOGUE ;
EPILOGUE - WEEK 7 Wake up, Narrators. You've done well this past weekend. As you awaken on this beautiful morning, the doors to the castle are wide open and a festive mood fills the air. Music can be heard from the garden and the ballroom, the dining room's overflowing with tasty treats and beverages, and everything is awash in a soft glow of purples, reds, and golds. Yet as you exit from your dormitories for the last time, several things will be noticeable to you... Lining the hallways, several new ornate mirrors flank either wall. Each mirror is engraved with the name of a Narrator and allows each participant of this war to view their world back home. They will be able to see who they wish to see and the current state of affairs in their world. They will also, thanks to their adventures in the Other Space, be able to view the future of their home worlds and what's at stake for them. No matter where they are in the castle, each Narrator will also find themselves presented with a leatherbound book, a jar of ink and a fresh quill. As they open the book they will see a write-up of their story up until now with several blank pages at the end of the book. As promised, the ink won by the Dragon's ending is enough to allow Narrators to write their own happy endings... even those that directly clash with what they've been able to witness for themselves in the mirrors. Go ahead, write yourself into the universe of another Narrator. The story is yours to tell. Alternatively - if you seek to write a new story for yourself entirely, additional pages will be provided for you to draft up that fresh start. Meanwhile, the longer you linger around the castle it will become clear that it's much noisier than it should be for only forty people. Venturing further downstairs you will find several guests waiting for you. Some of these may be people you know from your own worlds, brought here to take you home thanks to the extra magic obtained from the Other Space. Others are past participants from previous rounds of this war, battle stories and triumphs to share. Apparently they'd received an invitation to a celebration to mark the end of it all. Even those who had died from previous rounds and not revived are present. While it had been thought that they'd been lost in the Other Side when there was not enough ink to revive them - it appears that they'd been given new life via your efforts. The clock in the foyer seems to have stopped. Take all the time you need to say your goodbyes... you are in charge of your own destiny from here on out. ![]() Welcome to your farewell log, everyone! A couple of fun notes for your perusal. Due to the efforts of characters yesterday in the mini-adventures, characters have unlocked the ability to preview their futures and decide their own destinies. Additionally, they have unlocked the ability for castmates to visit them in the castle, along with characters who have participated in previous rounds of the war! Please feel free to tag in with your gamemates' castmates or other characters from previous rounds that you can make your own Grimm AU for. If you want to share where your character is going, comment here. Your final CR chart is here, your TL;CR meme is here and your friending/love meme is here. Thank you guys so much for a wonderful eight weeks! We hope you had a magical experience here with us. ♥

Sooo... doesn't look like your mood disorder's been acting up. Should I be jealous?
[Yo.]
no subject
So he just kind of tenses up before he slowly turns, a slow, owlish blink following.]
Shut up. [WAIT OKAY MAYBE. NOT THE FIRST THING HE SHOULD BE SAYING? But he's also pretty surprised, let him live. He's going to take a few seconds...] ...are you real? The jokes are bad enough to be real, but...
[His hand flexes on impulse like he's not sure what he's supposed to do. Eight weeks isn't exactly the shortest amount of time.]
no subject
I'm real.
[A beat.]
Would you like me to prove it?
no subject
Yeah. Prove it. [Just shut up and hug him, Solace.]
no subject
[Well, that's that. He steps forward, wraps his arms around Nico in a warm hug, and pulls him close. Nico will feel that he's pretty tensed up at first - but slowly, he starts to relax.
For him, it's been way too long. He wonders if it's the same for Nico.]
We have to stay like this for at least ten minutes. Doctor's orders.
no subject
Well...I guess I can do that. For my health and all. [Give him a moment before he rests his head into Will's shoulder.] I. [He doesn't get as far as "I missed you", but the sentiment is there.] How are you here?
no subject
...buuuut he doesn't want to lie to his boyfriend, so he'll be honest.]
That round that ended early - with Beauty and the Beast and that whole mess? I was a part of that one.
[He was chilling in the void for like a year, double-dead to all hell. Whoops. Apparently last time they decided to take out the healers early.]
Looks like you lasted longer than I did.
no subject
For like the first time since coming here, he feels a legitimate sort of fear and he pulls back just enough to look at Will's face. He studies him quietly, unhappy and eyebrows knit together as he processes that.]
But I didn't even know. [Shouldn't he have felt that time was different or that the Will he had at home might have been different? Time really didn't move at all? What the hell.] Our war lasted a few weeks longer than yours but I didn't even know. [That's a little terrifying.]
What happened? [To Will, specifically, he doesn't really give a shit about the war itself.]
no subject
[He's pretty sure they lied about other things, though that is neither here nor there.
Nico pulls back to look at him, and Will sort of looks like he's about to make a quip about doctor's orders again - but he stays close enough to hold, so he keeps quiet about it for now. Instead, his expression grows a little more serious and he shrugs.]
...turns out being able to patch people up makes you real unpopular with people who are out for blood. [So he was definitely hanging out in the graveyard before things went to shit. Thanks for killing your doctor, guys.]
no subject
Most of the people here weren't very familiar with war. I'm guessing it was the same during your game. [Not that that's an excuse.] We didn't have doctors in our round, so I just remembered most of what I've seen you do.
[No seriously who can he kill because Will was killed?] Were you the only one from home in your round?
no subject
[...in contrast to Nico's cloudier expression, Will's eyes actually light up a little when he keeps talking.] So you were paying attention to all of that after all. You know what this means - we'll have to continue your lessons once we get back to camp.
[Meaning, Nico will never escape him. ...but he doesn't seem to want to? So that's fine.
ALSO DO I HAVE TO ANSWER HIS NEXT QUESTION WHAT IF HE SAYS YEAH IT WAS JUST HIM AND THEN FRANCY DECIDES SURPRISE!! HAZEL WAS THERE TOO!!
...so he's just going to get distracted by being proud of Nico's healing, yeah.]
no subject
It's been...a long time. He'd grown so used to seeing Will every day that two months without contact made the world a little dark again.]
Are those doctor's orders, too? [Someday that joke will die, but...there's a small grin. So congrats on that.] I never said I was good at it, but I've seen it enough to remember.
