EPILOGUE ;
EPILOGUE - WEEK 7 Wake up, Narrators. You've done well this past weekend. As you awaken on this beautiful morning, the doors to the castle are wide open and a festive mood fills the air. Music can be heard from the garden and the ballroom, the dining room's overflowing with tasty treats and beverages, and everything is awash in a soft glow of purples, reds, and golds. Yet as you exit from your dormitories for the last time, several things will be noticeable to you... Lining the hallways, several new ornate mirrors flank either wall. Each mirror is engraved with the name of a Narrator and allows each participant of this war to view their world back home. They will be able to see who they wish to see and the current state of affairs in their world. They will also, thanks to their adventures in the Other Space, be able to view the future of their home worlds and what's at stake for them. No matter where they are in the castle, each Narrator will also find themselves presented with a leatherbound book, a jar of ink and a fresh quill. As they open the book they will see a write-up of their story up until now with several blank pages at the end of the book. As promised, the ink won by the Dragon's ending is enough to allow Narrators to write their own happy endings... even those that directly clash with what they've been able to witness for themselves in the mirrors. Go ahead, write yourself into the universe of another Narrator. The story is yours to tell. Alternatively - if you seek to write a new story for yourself entirely, additional pages will be provided for you to draft up that fresh start. Meanwhile, the longer you linger around the castle it will become clear that it's much noisier than it should be for only forty people. Venturing further downstairs you will find several guests waiting for you. Some of these may be people you know from your own worlds, brought here to take you home thanks to the extra magic obtained from the Other Space. Others are past participants from previous rounds of this war, battle stories and triumphs to share. Apparently they'd received an invitation to a celebration to mark the end of it all. Even those who had died from previous rounds and not revived are present. While it had been thought that they'd been lost in the Other Side when there was not enough ink to revive them - it appears that they'd been given new life via your efforts. The clock in the foyer seems to have stopped. Take all the time you need to say your goodbyes... you are in charge of your own destiny from here on out. ![]() Welcome to your farewell log, everyone! A couple of fun notes for your perusal. Due to the efforts of characters yesterday in the mini-adventures, characters have unlocked the ability to preview their futures and decide their own destinies. Additionally, they have unlocked the ability for castmates to visit them in the castle, along with characters who have participated in previous rounds of the war! Please feel free to tag in with your gamemates' castmates or other characters from previous rounds that you can make your own Grimm AU for. If you want to share where your character is going, comment here. Your final CR chart is here, your TL;CR meme is here and your friending/love meme is here. Thank you guys so much for a wonderful eight weeks! We hope you had a magical experience here with us. ♥

[So easily - so calmly. Like he expects everything to turn out just that easily, even if he doesn't know what's waiting ahead.]
I'll just have to make sure that yours is one of them.
no subject
Hm...
Fine then.
[Well, if Jae-ha thinks it'll be that easy, then Sousei will too.]
If that is what you intend to do, then by the time you accomplish it, I will be ready to receive you.
[Whether that means like. Embroiled in treason again or in a position of command is up in the air.]

Jae-ha's expression settles into something content then, and he'll move to take an entire step closer so that he's in Sousei's space, leaning down so that they're closer together. He moves to intertwine their fingers even as he hums a curious note.]
In other words -
You'll wait for me?
no subject
[Thanks, Sousei.
He's not pulling away, though, and he doesn't tug his hand away, even if there's something very irritating in how Jae-ha has to bend down and it kind of makes him want to stomp on his foot for being so tall.
That's childish though so he ignores that urge.
For now.]
I will continue to live my life, and you will continue to live yours. And if it may be that they intersect again... well, I will be ready for that possibility, then.
[So like.
Yeah kind of? He's kind of gonna wait for Jae-ha.]
no subject
[It's hard to place exactly where Jae-ha is getting that confidence. He doesn't really know what the future holds for him. He extended his own lifetime, sure, but that doesn't say anything about the dangers they might face or the new people he might meet.
And yet.]
... I thought maybe I'd just have to wait until the next life - but now that I know what's in front of me, I'm rather impatient.
You know that I fully intend on pursuing what I want.
I suppose I'm just waiting for you to admit you want me too. ♥
no subject
Always, always this confidence, even if they have no reason for it.
Always the "and yet".]
You'll be waiting a fair while longer.
[Sousei says that simply, quirking an eyebrow at Jae-ha. Jae-ha should know by now how he feels personally, and also his own inability to talk about things like that.]
You will just have to cope with that, I believe.
[A beat, and:]
But perhaps someday you will hear what you want to hear. Who knows what the future might hold?
no subject
[But at the same time - he's not mad? He's really not mad at all. Instead, he just laughs. It's a familiar sort of thing - to know how someone feels about him, and to be able to rest on that confidence rather than hearing it out loud.
It's comfortable and something warm blooms in his chest.]
... not that I mind.
To the future, then.
[His other hand reaches out, just rest his fingers underneath Sousei's chin as he moves to press their lips together in an almost painfully soft, lingering kiss.]
no subject
But Jae-ha silences him with that kiss instead, and you know?
This time, he'll allow Jae-ha to be the one doing the silencing, instead of the other way around, and as he leans into that kiss, he'll make his own sort of silent promise, reaching for Jae-ha's free wrist to almost idly wrap his fingers around it.
To the future, then. Whenever that future may be--he can believe that it'll come.
(And yes, the grasp states, if silently--he'll wait.)]
no subject
The kiss works for Jae-ha. When Sousei kisses him back, he doesn't shy away from stealing a second kiss after that, only because he can - and the idle knowledge of 'there are kids present' is what tempers him away from deepening it any further than that. When he pulls back, it's not entirely too far at all, and he'll let his forehead rest on Sousei's.
He doesn't quite like being tied down... but trying to have a place next to Sousei was a choice that he'd made some time ago.]
.... I might miss that a bit.
['I might miss you a bit.']
no subject
[Sousei's response is only that soft noise for a long moment, as he looks up at Jae-ha from their current position. They're awfully close right now, but also, he really doesn't care. He's not sentimental, and he's not sappy, but this is a goodbye of sorts--if only a goodbye for now.]
That, I believe, may be for the better. [Sousei please.]
We can be even on that score, and that is how I would prefer for it to be.
no subject
[Just.
Wondering.]
no subject
[Moment over, Sousei is shoving Jae-ha away and stepping back.]
no subject
So that's a yes, then.
no subject
You're being an irritation all over again. Go say farewell to people, or something more useful than being annoying right here and now.
[He says these things but still doesn't pull away... hm.]
