EPILOGUE ;
EPILOGUE - WEEK 7 Wake up, Narrators. You've done well this past weekend. As you awaken on this beautiful morning, the doors to the castle are wide open and a festive mood fills the air. Music can be heard from the garden and the ballroom, the dining room's overflowing with tasty treats and beverages, and everything is awash in a soft glow of purples, reds, and golds. Yet as you exit from your dormitories for the last time, several things will be noticeable to you... Lining the hallways, several new ornate mirrors flank either wall. Each mirror is engraved with the name of a Narrator and allows each participant of this war to view their world back home. They will be able to see who they wish to see and the current state of affairs in their world. They will also, thanks to their adventures in the Other Space, be able to view the future of their home worlds and what's at stake for them. No matter where they are in the castle, each Narrator will also find themselves presented with a leatherbound book, a jar of ink and a fresh quill. As they open the book they will see a write-up of their story up until now with several blank pages at the end of the book. As promised, the ink won by the Dragon's ending is enough to allow Narrators to write their own happy endings... even those that directly clash with what they've been able to witness for themselves in the mirrors. Go ahead, write yourself into the universe of another Narrator. The story is yours to tell. Alternatively - if you seek to write a new story for yourself entirely, additional pages will be provided for you to draft up that fresh start. Meanwhile, the longer you linger around the castle it will become clear that it's much noisier than it should be for only forty people. Venturing further downstairs you will find several guests waiting for you. Some of these may be people you know from your own worlds, brought here to take you home thanks to the extra magic obtained from the Other Space. Others are past participants from previous rounds of this war, battle stories and triumphs to share. Apparently they'd received an invitation to a celebration to mark the end of it all. Even those who had died from previous rounds and not revived are present. While it had been thought that they'd been lost in the Other Side when there was not enough ink to revive them - it appears that they'd been given new life via your efforts. The clock in the foyer seems to have stopped. Take all the time you need to say your goodbyes... you are in charge of your own destiny from here on out. ![]() Welcome to your farewell log, everyone! A couple of fun notes for your perusal. Due to the efforts of characters yesterday in the mini-adventures, characters have unlocked the ability to preview their futures and decide their own destinies. Additionally, they have unlocked the ability for castmates to visit them in the castle, along with characters who have participated in previous rounds of the war! Please feel free to tag in with your gamemates' castmates or other characters from previous rounds that you can make your own Grimm AU for. If you want to share where your character is going, comment here. Your final CR chart is here, your TL;CR meme is here and your friending/love meme is here. Thank you guys so much for a wonderful eight weeks! We hope you had a magical experience here with us. ♥

[His heart is beating out of his chest, you know? And he's worried for Akechi, as well. Quietly, his free hand moves to Akechi's face to turn him away from that mirror, tug him away and over towards the one with his own name above it, instead.]
On the matter of that... I'll only grow jealous if you keep staring at that Joker fellow. I'm quite worried already, so could I steal your attention for this moment, instead?
no subject
Oh? I don't think a little jealousy is all that bad.
[DICK]
But you're a far better thief than he. You may steal as much of my attention as you wish.
no subject
[He says that without much feeling behind it, though, as he guides Akechi to his mirror. Quietly, he brings his free hand to the edge of it, and some scenes begin to play.]
I'd like to ask you to come with me, if that isn't assuming too much. Out of nowhere, I called out with the word "boyfriend" without even asking you, but... I'd like to hope that our futures are tied together in that way.
[The scenes are past, not future. Some that Akechi might recognize. They go by quickly— Eichi plotting out things with a boy with messy, dark hair, the "five oddballs" having their successes as Eichi watches from the sidelines. He may notice that the old "fine" included Hiyori, who is running around here.
And then, sabotaging the performances of the oddballs one by one, using dirty tricks to win, and accepting flower bouquets and praise from countless people himself, being treated like a king. No— an Emperor. After that... a rather embarrassing defeat at DDD, where he tries so hard he exhausts himself and can't keep up with the younger group he's going against.
There's only one girl in this school and she seems to be at the center of the more recent events. Even in Eichi's loss, it looks like he's being surrounded by the new fine, whereas that old fine had abandoned him to cough up blood on stage. So, things are different, but better...!! But this is where he's at now.]
I believe you're aware of all that I've done... but I have a long way to climb back up, as well. So, you see... I just wanted you to take a peek at this life of mine and consider joining it with me. I have enough money to fund whatever it is that you'd like to do, you know? Um, but I'm not trying to buy you or anything...
[He almost never says um so it's cute]
no subject
[honestly, Akechi just. leans into Eichi from behind, arms wrapped around his middle, chin resting against his shoulder]
I think "boyfriend" is a suitable word.
[FIRST THINGS ARE FIRST!! it means he gets Eichi all to himself, doesn't it? no sharing!1]
I said last night that I wouldn't leave you again, didn't I? I am attempting to become a man of my word. Now is a very good place to start.
no subject
Then... that's the word we'll use, and that's where we'll start. [He can't believe it's actually working out like this? He was so worried... despite every literal obvious sign and Akechi straight up asking in that way of his...]
So, what is it that you'd like to do? [He wants more than anything for Akechi to be With him With him at all times, so like an idol, but... the last thing he wants are changes in dreams. He wants to hear what Akechi wants...!!]
no subject
I wish to go home with you.
[there. . .! he said it! and meant it]
I'm already a celebrity. Adored by millions, you know? Perhaps not an idol in the same way you are, but I could be. We could take your world by storm, you and I. Don't you think?
no subject
Do you mean it? [His eyes are sparkling, honestly, and it's impossible to hide the pleasure from his face.]
I take comments like that very seriously, you know? I wouldn't go easy on you, you know? You have a beautiful face and a wonderful body, and with your charming personality, it would be easy to win over crowds... But I don't know a thing of your vocal talents, so I'd have to pick out your strengths and weaknesses without holding back.
Ah, even after high school... an idol duo rather than solo would be an exciting thing... Our tastes and styles align so well, it would be nothing short of aesthetically genius! Ahh, I can see it now...! My heart is beating so fast that I might fall over!
[idols make him excited]
no subject
[please do not work yourself into a heart attack, Eichi!!]
But I don't expect you to go easy on me. Not that it will matter; my natural charisma and charm will undoubtedly blow all of our rivals away.
no subject
[He does not stop the competition!! And god I feel so bad for Akechi having to meet people like, Wataru.]
I look forward to seeing you try, however. Goro on stage... is an exciting thing to think about. [he's gay about it]
My body likely won't handle the jump back well, so I'll have Keito take care of all of the necessary paperwork. A transfer student, though this time he's on my side... ♪ I like the sound of it.
no subject
[DO IT EICHI, DO IT]
I do enjoy the sound of playing the role of the mysterious, charming transfer student. Perhaps my time as the Second Advent of the Detective Prince has been to prepare me for this very moment.
[Eichi is excited about idols, Akechi is just excited to have the public love him again]
no subject
[Eichi is very good about building people up. It's just that this time, he won't be shoving him back down until he's on his knees. It'll be great! Ah, but he looks a little nervous, ever since Akechi's first question, and he lets his hands drop away and turns back to the mirror.
This time, it's just him in a hospital room, young and alone.]
...This illness is a horrible thing that's ruined too much. It runs in my family, and death is a common occurrence... but it's possible to beat it. My grandfather, for example, only passed away recently...
[He stares at the mirror a bit longer.]
But to simply take it away... to make all of my struggles up until now mean nothing... it would leave me empty. Is that strange?
no subject
Perhaps a little.
[but Akechi knows that if he could, he'd erase all of the struggles he had while growing up. he'd bring back his mother, he'd write into his past that he met Joker years before their fated rivalry came to a head. . .]
[but maybe, in that way, Eichi is far stronger than him]
But it is your choice. If it is the one you wish to make, then we can assure that you beat it together.
no subject
It's a difficult choice... Should I write it away, a sudden cure to years of struggling? Should I live on knowing that I cheated, and just like those people I was always bitter watching, I made a miracle come to light through convenience?
Or should I deny myself that relief and continue to suffer, and with each cough or worsening of symptoms, curse myself for not giving in.
[He sighs.]
I still don't know. But I didn't intend to weigh you down with this... I only wanted to ask that you come with me. Since you've already agreed to that... then I'm happy.
