CHAPTER 6 ; MINGLE
CHAPTER 6 Feels a bit… gloomy, doesn’t it? There are no rumbles to wake Narrators this week. Rather, they are left to rise as they please. The castle has not expanded, there are no new changes, rather they are left exactly with everything that they have been given – like there are no new distractions for them to pull their attention away from their own mistakes of days gone by. As they enter the dining hall, the fire that eats away at Abe no Sousei, Jae-ha, Osamu Dazai, and Reyna Ramírez-Arellano's tapestries must serve as an unfortunate reminder. How unpleasant. At the very least, the rain has stopped. So that’s one thing to look forward to. Yet it doesn’t entirely feel as though they’re… alone. Out of the corner of their eye, they might see the faint glow of a candle in the distance, or a floating fire. Should they try to follow the mirage, they’ll likely be led to another room of the castle without a single disturbance, a dead end. Except – the next time they look in the mirror, they’ll find the face of one of the dead Narrators staring back at them. Blink and then they’re gone. Partners might find this week’s effect to be a bit… inconvenient. At random points in the week, they’ll suddenly feel compelled to be honest with each other. Secrets can still remain, but communication is key in a situation like this, wouldn’t you say? Try a bit of truth – see where it gets you. Hopefully nowhere unfortunate. ![]() Welcome to Week 6, everyone! Hopefully you all enjoyed your break week and are ready for your regularly scheduled murder! We would also like to remind players to submit all of their Chapter 5 PCs and new PCs at the Private Conversations page and review the weekly ooc notes for important details in the castle. Something curious will be arriving on Wednesday, July 18th so keep your eyes peeled for that as well.

No, that's just her name. It's cute, isn't it?

It's...sort of cute, sure. [Weird, but alright.] Have you ever met your friend? Or just the pigeon?

[Summoning ghosts. Dream-walking. He has all kinds of stupid powers that lead to a giant headache some days.]

You should probably just stick to birds when you're back home too. They're more reliable.

[ It's an honest question, not a rhetorical one, because the only birds Natsuo's ever really interacted with was the one unusually clever messenger pigeon, and then a bunch of asshole swans. ]
But you should try it. When you get home, write letters to me! Let's be pen pals!

...okay. [It's an easy agreement.] That's pretty far for a bird to fly, but we'll figure it out.

[ hold on as he straightens up and looks around for a spare scrap of paper and ink in the room ]

Am I supposed to do the same? [...he will, but also. Just wondering.]

[ He just gives his unaddressed letter to his pigeon and say "This is for Strawberry-Love" and the bird gets it. Ravens are smart; they'll figure it out.
Natsuo returns to Nico's side before spreading the paper over his lap and writing out an address in Japan, and signs the letter as "Snow" before handing it over ]
Don't lose it, okay?
