CHAPTER 6 ; MINGLE
CHAPTER 6 Feels a bit… gloomy, doesn’t it? There are no rumbles to wake Narrators this week. Rather, they are left to rise as they please. The castle has not expanded, there are no new changes, rather they are left exactly with everything that they have been given – like there are no new distractions for them to pull their attention away from their own mistakes of days gone by. As they enter the dining hall, the fire that eats away at Abe no Sousei, Jae-ha, Osamu Dazai, and Reyna Ramírez-Arellano's tapestries must serve as an unfortunate reminder. How unpleasant. At the very least, the rain has stopped. So that’s one thing to look forward to. Yet it doesn’t entirely feel as though they’re… alone. Out of the corner of their eye, they might see the faint glow of a candle in the distance, or a floating fire. Should they try to follow the mirage, they’ll likely be led to another room of the castle without a single disturbance, a dead end. Except – the next time they look in the mirror, they’ll find the face of one of the dead Narrators staring back at them. Blink and then they’re gone. Partners might find this week’s effect to be a bit… inconvenient. At random points in the week, they’ll suddenly feel compelled to be honest with each other. Secrets can still remain, but communication is key in a situation like this, wouldn’t you say? Try a bit of truth – see where it gets you. Hopefully nowhere unfortunate. ![]() Welcome to Week 6, everyone! Hopefully you all enjoyed your break week and are ready for your regularly scheduled murder! We would also like to remind players to submit all of their Chapter 5 PCs and new PCs at the Private Conversations page and review the weekly ooc notes for important details in the castle. Something curious will be arriving on Wednesday, July 18th so keep your eyes peeled for that as well.

[ he waves a dismissive hand, nonchalant as can be. One day he’ll be better at PR ]
You bozos would’ve sent an innocent soul to the chopping block with or without my help. Not my fault those two were suspicious as hell.
[ but anyway? His chair? That’s the important thing here. ]
Obviously, this was an act of aggression against my person. I’m telling you, one way or another this chair leg is going to haunt us come this weekend.

[blandly, like she's tuning half of what he says out.]
If you're worried that it'll come back as a stake, you should worry more about yourself than throwing a tantrum where everyone can see.

Stake? No, no, nothing like that. It'll take a lot more than that to kill me, that I promise to anyone who finds themselves compelled to give it a shot come Thursday.
[ he raises his voice when he says that, like he's talking to the dining hall at large. ]
This was just to make a point! About personal property, about manhood!
