The Story Continues... CHAPTER 5 - WEEK 523 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. [ All my friends are dead and are about to be naked.

Anyway best be careful since Sousei's broken as fuck. When they remove his shirt, they'll find that there is a stab wound on his upper left arm, and his right wrist appears to be broken as well.

In addition to that, he has a number of bruises all over his body of varying sizes and darkness. The ones on his abdomen and chest appear darker and more recent, whereas he has a few around his collar bone that look more faded.

There appears to be some light marking around his neck as well.

As for Jae-ha the trash dragon - they need to remove his robe first, yeah. Then his stupid undergarment - but they'll find that there is some bruising on him too. His appear to be less spaced than Sousei's, but rather one large bruise that spans from his shoulder and further down.

There appear to be some spotty, faded marks at the base of his neck. At the left side of his neck, there's his stab wound.

We're all stabby and beat up here. ]

What in the world happened...?

[HE'LL. EXAMINE SOUSEI'S BRUISES. Do they look like they come from something fist-sized, or maybe smaller or larger? Or are the variations in sizes really significant? Also what is up with the light neck marking, is it more like a scratch or a bruise...]

... This bruise is entirely too large for most normal attacks...

[ And she's already frowning at Sousei's dead, half-naked body?? But right, back to Jae-ha. How recent does this massive bruise look? Just as dark as the one on Sousei's abdomen?

Also are those hickeys. ]

[ Sousei's darker bruises appear to be fairly consistent in size - though it's hard to say what caused them. They don't leave significant imprints, but just imply a hard impact.

As for the light neck marking, closer inspection makes it difficult to tell what it might be. It's closer to a bruise than a scratch. The imprints aren't as pronounced as the bruises on Sousei's body.

As for Jae-ha's one giant bruise, it does appear recent. It's dark and fresh and unfortunate.

I don't know, Kia, would Cardia know what hickeys look like.

I can't really tell what made these, either.

[What about the light neck marking, though - does it go all the way around his neck or just over part of it? Is it a consistent color or does it fade anywhere?]

[ Cardia by now is looking between the markings on Jae-ha's neck and the markings on Sousei's neck, and-- ]

Let's focus on the darker bruises. I think these probably weren't involved in their deaths.

[ But oddly?? She seems even more tired than before????

WHAT A MYSTERY.

But also she's going to try to prop Jae-ha up to check his back. Just in case. ]

[ Sousei's light neck marking only goes around the front part of body - over the throat. It's only very lightly darker on the left and right sides of his neck.

Anyway yeah, let's move on from hickeys. Nothing to see here.

Jae-ha's back appears to be clear of bruises or injury. ]

--It looks like Sousei-san might have been choked...? Or held by the neck at some point, maybe?

[Well. Hopefully he wasn't a slut until the end??? He'll also carefully prop him up to check his back, too.]

From the way his wrist was treated, and just how badly bruised he is, he must have fought back. He's highly competent, so I imagine he wouldn't have been killed easily.

... Um, can I ask you to check for anything... lower? I can look at Reyna.

[ SHE HAS LIMITS. ]

[ Save Cardia from this. Throw Jae-ha's corpse on the ground, it'll be fine.

Anyway for Souji, he'll find that there appear to be slightly faded scratch marks that go down Sousei's back. However there don't appear to be any bruises or other injuries aside from that. ]

--Mm, that's fine.

[He also hates this. BUT GO, BE FREE CARDIA. After checking to see if these look like animal claw marks or like... fingernail scratches... Souji will do the dubious honors of depantsing Sousei and then Jae-ha's one remaining leggy to do a check for any bruises or stabs. Please god let there be no hickeys.]

[ And in the meantime she's going to move to Reyna. She's not as bashful as stripping her, since they are both girls and one of them is dead and the other is Dead Inside. How is her naked friend looking? ]

[Her naked friend is ... well, actually, hm. The only wounds under her clothing are the stab to the chest, the ripped stitches on her back, and a shallow cut stretching around her waist which was covered by her jeans up until then.

The other shallower wounds seem to be constrained to her arms, hands, and face.]

[ Hm. Does the cut around her waist match the one Zelos had? ]

[It sure does!]

[ *jae voice* Nail scratches.

But no, really, they're fingernail scratches.

As for depantsing Sousei - he's bruised in the same fashion as his upper body. His right leg is still broken and of the same grotesque nature as it was after the CYOA, though the wound is a bit older now.

As for Jae-ha, his one large bruise goes a bit further down as if he impacted against something with a lot of force. His one remaining leggy is otherwise fine, and the wound where his other leg was ripped off appears to be a rather brutal job as the injury is not clean.

No hickeys. ]

[hm, bad. Is it just a couple of sets or is it more like someone was wildly whacking away at his back...

GOOD TO KNOW NO HICKEYS THOUGH. After taking note of the bruises and the state of Jae-ha's missing leg, he'll murmur a quiet apology for disturbing their tiny dignities and pants them up again.]

The wound on Jae-ha's leg isn't clean, and that bruise goes down further. It looks like he may have hit something? Sousei-san is bruised all over.

[ Just a couple sets - they don't seem like they were made with the intent of causing injury.

Anyway.

Sorry you had to deal with that, Souji. ]

[ And after gently dressing Reyna again-- ]

Her shallow wounds are all on her face and arms. She's got an additional cut, but it matches Zelos'-- so I think what he told us was true.

[He's aged 100 years.]

Mm... It seems like a lot of fighting went on with the other two, at least.
