CHAPTER FIVE ; TRIAL
CHAPTER 5 - WEEK 5 Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. Throughout today's trial, cookies and cakes will be served as your trial snacks, along with hot cocoa...served in sippycups. ![]() Welcome to your trial post! [ waver glares at zelos, obviously hurt. ]
He's already blaming himself-- don't rub salt into the wound.

[ Zelos smiles brightly. ]
Let's talk about you Lord Stuffypants! You were in that room too right? And smart as you are you missed a whole body, your partner's no less! Kind of funny, considering the last time we did this song and dance in this garden you also all but accused her of murder and nearly threw her under the bus. Really makes you wonder..

[ he's looking very angry in comparison to zelos' smile. ]
I get it. I'm a fucking prick. I talk like as if I'm above others and I know it all and look where it fucking landed me. You wanna blame me? I won't stop you. Laugh at me if you want, too. I didn't kill her, but I was a terrible partner anyways.
...
She deserved someone better than me.

He's not good at the sympathy thing though; so instead, he swallows back anything that could be appropriate, could offer some comfort to someone who clearly feels a lot of guilt, and instead says— ]
Well, as long as you know.

Trust me. I know. Hate me as much as you want after this trial. But for now, let's focus.
[ and with that, waver's gonna turn around. he has a barely functioning dazai to deal with. ]
