The Story Continues... CHAPTER 5 - WEEK 523 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. Throughout today's trial, cookies and cakes will be served as your trial snacks, along with hot cocoa...served in sippycups. Welcome to your trial post! BODY EXAMINATION

[At the head of the garden are the bodies of Sousei and Jae-Ha laying inside glass examination cases. There is also one empty case for a third, undiscovered body. These cases may be opened, but please be kind to the dead...

Now that everyone has gathered, Reyna appears to be missing.]

[well. he doesn't want to get up close and personal if he doesn't have to, but he will if he must. so.

about sousei's broken neck... how bad is that, exactly, because shirasu is checking that out for now. specifically checking for marks on it.]

[It's pretty broken! As for bruises, there are a few faded ones on his neck, but it's hard to tell what they might be from exactly.]

[hmm. alright, that's all he needed for the moment! he'll leave the rest of sousei alone for now.]

[Alright, well, since Dazai is having a breakdown... Let's get a closer look at Reyna's injuries? As well as he can, with her condition.]

[He'll have to unwrap the ink-soaked cloak from around her to do that first! He'll note that there's a large amount of blood and a stab wound over her heart, first thing, but he'll also see some miscellaneous injuries on her arms and face as he takes a look.

Which will he examine in more detail?]

[He feels like he's going to be sick, but yes, he'll take the cloak off carefully (read: in the prissiest way possible, like it's a dirty napkin) and examine the face injuries first! What's going on there.]

[There are some nicks and light scratches on her face - apparently, whatever she was up to on Thursday night, it was somewhat violent! ...but not violent enough to actually disfigure her, either. If she was still alive these injuries would probably have healed up after a week or so.]

[ Since one 14 year old won't look at corpses today, here's another one.

Kyouka steels herself to look at Jae-ha, and she examines his stab wound first. Where in his neck was he stabbed, and can she make an inference to the angle that he was stabbed? ]

[The stab wound is on the left side of his neck, and it looks like it was plunged in head-on, not angled up or down.]

[ Are there any other noticeable injuries besides his missing leg?

Also, which leg was missing again? ]

[There's nothing immediately visible! Unless she wants to, like, strip the corpse. Maybe she'd find something under his clothes.

It's his right leg that is missing - the one with the scales. His left leg is there, presumably fleshy, though she'll have to take off the boot to know for sure.]

[HEY IT'S WHEEZY SOUJI AND CARDIA THE GREAT HERE TO RELIEVE THEIR DEAD FRIENDS OF THEIR CLOTHING!!

Let's start with Sousei first, whose body he'll handle with as much care and respect as possible when... stripping a dead person... SHIRT FIRST FOR NOW.]

[ And Cardia will be moving over to strip Jae-ha with the air of someone who is Very Tired. Time to try to get a look at his torso?? After dealing with the robe(s)???? Whatever the heck he's wearing???? ]

[ All my friends are dead and are about to be naked.

Anyway best be careful since Sousei's broken as fuck. When they remove his shirt, they'll find that there is a stab wound on his upper left arm, and his right wrist appears to be broken as well.

In addition to that, he has a number of bruises all over his body of varying sizes and darkness. The ones on his abdomen and chest appear darker and more recent, whereas he has a few around his collar bone that look more faded.

There appears to be some light marking around his neck as well.

As for Jae-ha the trash dragon - they need to remove his robe first, yeah. Then his stupid undergarment - but they'll find that there is some bruising on him too. His appear to be less spaced than Sousei's, but rather one large bruise that spans from his shoulder and further down.

There appear to be some spotty, faded marks at the base of his neck. At the left side of his neck, there's his stab wound.

We're all stabby and beat up here. ]

[Did... did someone just punch these men to death.]

What in the world happened...?

[HE'LL. EXAMINE SOUSEI'S BRUISES. Do they look like they come from something fist-sized, or maybe smaller or larger? Or are the variations in sizes really significant? Also what is up with the light neck marking, is it more like a scratch or a bruise...]

[Sanji's here to examine Reyna, now that she's been found!

God.

Thank the shitty gods his hands are clean for this (HE STILL HAS THE TOWEL), but uh... he's gotta take a look into her mouth. Looking specifically for bruising, discoloration -- anything that might suggest poison]

[There isn't any bruising or discoloration visible at first glance! But, like, while he's here is he going to take a whiff and see if he can smell anything other than corpse smell?]

[There is a vaguely herbal scent in her mouth, which Sanji, with his chef's nose, will be able to detect through the icky corpse smell. It smells vaguely of chamomile, spearmint, lemongrass, and a tinge of something else... magic, perhaps.]

[Sanji is here for Sousei and Jae-Ha, next!

Just like Reyna, he is gonna SNIFF THEIR MOUTHS, is there any of that sleepytime tea to be found?]

[No, there is not! Just corpse smell.]

anyway, she's checking the stab wound on jae-ha's neck first. comparing the dagger to it, does it look like a match? or is veronica going to have to, you know, stab the other side of his neck. cries.]

[It looks like it's a match - the blade could probably fit in there. She'd have to actually stab it in there to know for sure, though.

Or she could stab the other side of his neck and see if it makes a matching wound but does she really wanna do that with Kyouka freaking out over there.]

[... On second thought, she totally does not want to do that.

She's going to take a good, hard look at the already existing wound before carefully carefully shoving the dagger in there to see if anything changes. Does it make the wound bigger or fuck it up in any way, or nah?]
