The Story Continues... CHAPTER 233 Narrators Remain ; There’s nothing to shake up the feeling of helplessness and betrayal quite like some renovations. Residents in the castle will find a gentle rumble stirring them out of their sleep on Monday morning, and if they choose to find the source of the noise, they’ll notice a newly constructed staircase on the second floor. It stretches up, up, up and will guide the Narrators to a third floor with all types of new installments to the castle. Go ahead, crack open a book, try your hand at some potion mixing. What could possibly go wrong? Just as last week, the morning that the dining hall opens, the tapestries of Ann Takamaki, Soo-won, and Dave Strider will all suddenly catch flame from the bottom, burning up and up until the entire tapestry is gone. Anyone who ventures outside will also find that the scenery has warmed up considerably. Snow no longer dusts the ground, but rather the warm sun and pleasant chirping of birds greet you to the castle grounds. The area has also been expanded, a new jousting grounds available for play and recreation. A set of stables stands next to the grounds, but anyone who ventures inside will find only hear the occasional, phantom whinny of a horse and – find some rather large feathers? Interesting. Finally, partners will find themselves unable to rest peacefully yet another week. While no paranoia creeps over anyone’s shoulders, when night falls and they find themselves sleeping, they’ll instead see dreams – or rather, some memories of their partner. Apparently the Crafters would rather that you all get to know each other sooner, rather than later. Hopefully you don’t see anything you’re not meant to. Welcome to Week 2, everyone! Today we've introduce new castle locations and brought a new round of partner effects, so please review those, including the Outside section on the Locations page. [And yet miraculously that works?! Nothing like pissing Sanji off to make him stay put]

[ He pulls his sword away, less a danger to himself and more a danger to Sanji, seeing as he's now brandishing it at him. ]

Ah- [ he can catch up now, though, stick a foot in the doorway before Sanji can shut him out ]

Good dog! You're a good dog!

[concasse]

I will kick you down the hall if you call me a dog again, Natsuo--

[Child why are you so weird?

Also GUESS HE'S IN THE KITCHEN NOW. Bah.]

[randori]

[ ♪~ The door gets shut behind them and Natsuo tosses the sword and gauntlets down on the floor right in front of it, careful whoever comes in next. ]

I'm just agreeing with you- I'm saying you're not shitty! You're awesome! Super strong! Handsome! Amazing! I need a favor!

[concasse]

[... Wow.

Sanji is actually stunned quiet for a moment.

Do you know what karaage is? Can you fry chicken here? I want us to all eat together— you and me and Rebecca and Cardia!!

[ It's an important favor ]

[concasse]

-- Oh, you just wanted me to cook for you.

[Well then, he settles into that thought with a grin]

Sure, you want that order now? Or we waiting for a special occasion?

[randori]

Thursday! I'm going to gather everybody up so we can eat on Thursday! We're going to celebrate chickens, and for having friends, and for being alive!!

[concasse]

[...]

That's fine, kid.

[...]

You doing okay?

[randori]

I'm fine! There's no reason I shouldn't be, right?

[ not yet ]

[concasse]

[WOW]

Yeah, just.

[A shrug]

I know the last trial was kinda hard on ya.

[randori]

[ Oh. Yeah, he can't exactly keep that smile going when the trial's brought up. "Hard" is a bit of an understatement— he'd felt so lost, and numb, and furious towards the end of it, that he'd taken it all out on Akechi. ]

...Yeah, and it's still hard. But when I walked away, there were people who came after me. Being thought of like that made me really happy, you know?

[concasse]

[Aaah, that's why then.

His smile picks up some, looking pleased]

Of course. You're annoying, but everyone here's got a soft spot for ya.

[randori]

Even you?! You like me too!!?

[ ~*~*KIRA KIRA SPARKLES*~*~ ]

[concasse]
