CHAPTER 2 ; MINGLE

The Story Continues...
CHAPTER 2
33 Narrators Remain ;
There’s nothing to shake up the feeling of helplessness and betrayal quite like some renovations.

Residents in the castle will find a gentle rumble stirring them out of their sleep on Monday morning, and if they choose to find the source of the noise, they’ll notice a newly constructed staircase on the second floor. It stretches up, up, up and will guide the Narrators to a third floor with all types of new installments to the castle.

Go ahead, crack open a book, try your hand at some potion mixing.

What could possibly go wrong?

Just as last week, the morning that the dining hall opens, the tapestries of Ann Takamaki, Soo-won, and Dave Strider will all suddenly catch flame from the bottom, burning up and up until the entire tapestry is gone.

Anyone who ventures outside will also find that the scenery has warmed up considerably. Snow no longer dusts the ground, but rather the warm sun and pleasant chirping of birds greet you to the castle grounds. The area has also been expanded, a new jousting grounds available for play and recreation. A set of stables stands next to the grounds, but anyone who ventures inside will find only hear the occasional, phantom whinny of a horse and – find some rather large feathers?

Interesting.

Finally, partners will find themselves unable to rest peacefully yet another week. While no paranoia creeps over anyone’s shoulders, when night falls and they find themselves sleeping, they’ll instead see dreams – or rather, some memories of their partner. Apparently the Crafters would rather that you all get to know each other sooner, rather than later.

Hopefully you don’t see anything you’re not meant to.

Welcome to Week 2, everyone! Today we've introduce new castle locations and brought a new round of partner effects, so please review those, including the Outside section on the Locations page. If you'd like to have your characters interact with the laboratory, please feel free to PP the mods! We would also like to remind players to submit all of their Prologue PCs and new PCs at the Private Conversations page and review the weekly ooc notes for important details in the castle.

Something exciting will be arriving on Wednesday, June 20th so keep your eyes peeled for that as well.

You know, you'll only prolong the healing if you don't let yourself recover.

[but he offers her a hand anyway, because it's only polite.]

I understand not wanting to rest here, but try not to overdo it.
vigilantics: (she said to me.)

[ she'll take his hand. steph looks sheepish, at least. ]

I know the feeling well enough.

[considering, you know, last week.]

But if you injure yourself more, what will you be able to do then?
vigilantics: (so honey hold my hand.)

[personal profile] vigilantics 2018-06-19 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)

[ it's a joke. ]
wagashis: (welcome to bible study)

Then let's try to avoid that. Don't be too-- ah, what did he use-- 'extra'.

[he knows how it's supposed to be used. this is absolutely on purpose.]
vigilantics: (gimmie love gimmie love gimmie love.)

Am I disassociating.
wagashis: (stopppp)

[personal profile] wagashis 2018-06-19 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
...was that the wrong way to use it? And I was fairly certain this time, too.
vigilantics: (don't know what to do.)

[personal profile] vigilantics 2018-06-19 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Who taught you that?
wagashis: (13)

[personal profile] wagashis 2018-06-19 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Belph has been teaching me. It seems I'm somewhat behind in language.
vigilantics: (i know that we.)

[personal profile] vigilantics 2018-06-19 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my god.

[ she's trying to imagine belph calling anyone extra. ]

What else has he taught you?
wagashis: (stopppp)

[personal profile] wagashis 2018-06-19 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
He explained the concept of 'stanning' to me, as well as 'lit'-- but to be honest, I'm less sure about the meaning of that one.
vigilantics: (i saw myself tonight.)

teej i burst out laughing i hate this

[personal profile] vigilantics 2018-06-19 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Well... it's gonna be lit when we all leave this castle.
Edited 2018-06-19 19:07 (UTC)
wagashis: (road work ahead?)

this is cursed but it's perfect

[personal profile] wagashis 2018-06-19 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
It's going to be in flames?
vigilantics: (eyes so bright.)

💀

[personal profile] vigilantics 2018-06-19 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
No-- well, it might be, depending on if anyone here is secretly an arsonist?

[ a lot of things explode when she is around, she won't take this off the table. ]

It can kinda be like... if you go to a party, and it's actually a fun party instead of traumatic, you might call that lit?
wagashis: (stopppp)

[personal profile] wagashis 2018-06-19 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I understand-- so if we showed up this weekend and found no one had been killed, that would be 'lit'.
vigilantics: (you'll learn to love again.)

[personal profile] vigilantics 2018-06-19 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
No dead bodies is very lit.
wagashis: (I sure hope it does)

[personal profile] wagashis 2018-06-19 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
What would be the opposite of lit, then?
vigilantics: (if you're gonna stay then stay.)

[personal profile] vigilantics 2018-06-20 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
That-- ...

Whoa. That's a good question.
