The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 037 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. murder weapon

As far as I can tell, we haven't figured out what caused her death yet, or the actual weapon used to kill her. We know there's a letter opener missing and some knives from the kitchen, but she died from puncture wounds.

[ he crosses his arms. ]

I won't pretend I can tell what was used just from looking at her injuries. But I'm pretty sure carving knives and letter openers wouldn't typically leave puncture wounds.

The puncture wounds aren't the right shape for the letter opener, and too small for the knives. Or swords from the armory, even if you did find a sharp one.

Would anyone have something like a needle?

If there was something like a rapier in use, I could see it being one of the swords. All those weapons looked like they were in bad shape, though.

I don't think any of those weapons were used.

...Did any of us have 'medicine' as their item from home, or something similar?

Any item thin enough would puncture easily, so long as it is sturdy.

Hmm, in that case, I can only think of...

[But he doesn't want to actually suggest it before I ask OOC questions he really considers, and also takes a good look at the three people he thought of immediately.

So, SHARPAY: are you wearing stiletto heels?

IONS: How thin is your tuning fork staff thing?]

[ since he's not asking out loud I am also not actually answering this, but see icon. They're quite sturdy! ... But are more likely to be used as a bludgeoning device than a stabbing one. ]

There are people with other weapons. It's possible it was something they already had on them-- though that would also be easier to tie to a specific person.

The wounds are about five inches deep? If that helps any. They're also both consistent with one another, so we are looking at only one weapon, probably. Other than that I... I'm not really sure what could have caused them.

How come she had to get stabbed twice? Just the neck would kill her, right?

There were signs of a struggle in the tailor. Maybe they had to stab her twice to [ugh] successfully take her down.

Oh! Was there any blood on the clothes?

Someone threw fabric over the mannequins. There was purple ink on that.

But nothing red? It's only purple ink after someone's died, right?

Have we confirmed that? All the stains we found were purple.

[ Well, Van had told her even shoes could be weapons when used correctly... ]

If someone stomped on her neck, we'd be able to tell.

You wouldn't necessarily have to be wearing them.

[ ... Oh. Cardia blinks, glancing over-- and nods. ]

I think with enough force, they could cause punctures.

[ Which is a weird thing to say, but look. It's progress?? ]

We need to borrow their shoes in that case.

I think you're right. I'd rather not accuse anyone without knowing if that's even fitting.

[ He nods, and being terribly, terribly direct, he heads right on over to 2B first. ]

Excuse me, but I'd like to borrow one of your shoe for a moment.

[ He. Doesn't explain why. So hopefully 2B overheard, I guess!! ]

... It's not like I'm against checking every option, but I think killing her with a shoe would be difficult. She was old, but she seemed capable.

She was an ex-pirate. Lady was damned capable.
