The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 037 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. [a quirk of a brow, a downward turn of his lips. the being promised something isn't surprising; the rule book did mention wishes, after all. but being chosen. . .]

What were you chosen for?

The most obvious conclusion is that you were chosen to be a murderer, and promised a wish should you succeed.

If that's true, was it our captors who approached you with this arrangement?

[She just gives him an unreadable look. It appears as though she can neither confirm nor deny that.]

You've uncovered more than I did in the first week. I'm almost impressed.

[she may not be able to confirm it outright, but he takes her words as the affirmation he needs anyway]

It's nothing but simple deductive reasoning. But it's unfortunate that I didn't discover anything that could have prevented this weekend's tragedy from occurring.

Didn't you? [She doesn't know, but it's her way of telling him to look a little harder.] Now that you know, will you try to prevent the same thing from happening?

I'm not so naive to believe that I can stop every single person here who wishes to murder.

[he knows his limits. he knows what is realistic]

[There's a very small, almost too-quick to see nod. Again, she can't explain them, but she's confident Akechi will figure things out from here.]

My plan was flawed. I expect yours to be better going forward. [The worst part is that she genuinely likes Akechi. Al, I hate this.]
