The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 037 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. [ The Dragon is in attendance today, sitting at the head of the table, examining the rose in front of her. As time goes by, people may notice the petals falling, one by one. She may spare a glance upward to anyone who comes to see her, but she will only address those who speak to her.

BODY EXAMINATION

[At the head of the garden is Captain Gi-Gan's body laying inside a glass examination case. This case may be opened, but please be kind to the dead...]

EVIDENCE EXAMINATION

[At the head of the garden, several large mirrors flank either side of the Dragon. In these mirrors are perfectly accurate depictions of the evidence from the day before. Approach, dear Narrator, and gaze into the mirrors to obtain a closer look at pieces of the puzzle.]

[It's impossible to come to a verdict without a proper look at the evidence. While it would definitely be a good idea to look at the body, that's something she'll have to build up for.

She'll start with what was found yesterday.]

[Surprise to no one - Jae-ha will be found by Gi-gan's body for the most of the trial. Noticeably, he's retrieved an orange scarf, one end embroidered with a purple phoenix on a pirate boat, and wrapped it around her shoulders like a shawl. His own hair bow seems to have changed from its original orange ribbon into a similar fabric of the scarf.

He's quietly watching everyone else, listening to their conversations, but he doesn't quite move from his spot. A dragon sentry for his fallen captain.

Anyone who wants to get to Gi-gan will likely have to go through him.]

Like the leftovers of a party... Did anybody ever get to go in the ballroom? Or- Akechi, Eichi, did this stuff come with your room's disco ball?

It's unfortunate - but it's a reminder of exactly how much time you have to determine your killer.

Well, much to my surprise, this is perfectly unnecessary, but all the same—

[ Fane pulls a napkin out of his coat that's stained with ink. It's an imprecise impression of the possible footprint they found at the scene, but he gestures to the mirrors. ]

While in the dining hall, we found Ion passed out but quite alive, as seems to be the case for several of you idiots. Regardless, in the ink spilling from the tapestry, there was an impression left behind. I believe it looks like the ball of someone's foot, but if you have other theories, I suppose I'm obliged to entertain them.

Jae-ha, Jae-ha, you know her best! Who do you think did it?

[ just. right to the point, no need to look at all the evidence- he spoke to somebody before, and all Natsuo could think of is that if anybody could take down Gi-Gan, it would be somebody she knows well and wouldn't suspect. ]
