The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 037 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. I do not know which. It could have been anything in this place. But it certainly adds another aspect to what we can believe in.

It means that time's still an illusion here. [That's uncomfortable even if he doesn't say why.] So now...it's any time after 7pm could possibly be the time we're looking for. Right?

[That's??? Dramatic? Nico!!]

Yes. That is correct. It could have happened at any time--if she was somehow transported out without my knowledge. She did not leave, though, that I saw.

[Look, when you're looked in a timesink hotel for 70+ years you're allowed to be dramatic!!]

Why do you think you weren't transported with the rest of us, sir?

[A good question, honestly.]

... I do not know. I could not begin to fathom why I was not tossed out with the rest of the people who were left scattered.

[resumed]

If anything you should have been since you were her partner. The outliers are me and Reyna. Two of the others were partners, and one was one of those featured tapestries this week.

... Can you think of any reason why you and Reyna would have been outliers in this instance? Why you were chosen of everyone?

[resumed]

The only thing I can think of is that we're some of the only people who know someone from home. A lot of other people are here by themselves.

[disilluded]

That does not make sense. I know someone from home here as well--I should have still been one of the ones left out like you were.

It could also be whatever the Tiger found funny. Sometimes those of power do whatever they find amusing or useful to them without bothering to ask us.

[vigilantics]

Well, out of all the people who were found outside, Sharpay is the only one who doesn't fit that.

[resumed]

You think that makes it more suspicious then?

[vigilantics]

I have no idea what it means. It's just the only really obvious way she stands out, which could be absolutely nothing.

[resumed]

That's the only problem, Batgirl. [He's calling her by her codename in all sincerity.] We have to decide if it's to make her stand out because something's wrong, or because it's an obvious decoy. How do you figure that one out?

[vigilantics]

Well, let's look at it this way. Both Jae-Ha and Gi-Gan were affected, with the latter being the victim. You and Reyna. Only one of the Ions were involved though here, so that's also different.

But even with that, all of the rest of you can vouch for each other. Sharpay can't.

[resumed]

Even though she has Jae-Ha vouching for her, but you're right. There's a precedent of knowing someone for a while to be able to understand who they are instead of us partnering up.

[vigilantics]

There's also the timeframe when they weren't together, right before curfew.

But, yeah, pretty much.

If they weren't together, who were they with?

[vigilantics]

Um... Jae-Ha was with Gi-Gan. I'm not sure if anyone asked Sharpay.

That might not be a bad idea to ask both of them again. Since obviously Gi-Gan's dead.
