The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 037 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. EVIDENCE EXAMINATION

[At the head of the garden, several large mirrors flank either side of the Dragon. In these mirrors are perfectly accurate depictions of the evidence from the day before. Approach, dear Narrator, and gaze into the mirrors to obtain a closer look at pieces of the puzzle.]

[It's impossible to come to a verdict without a proper look at the evidence. While it would definitely be a good idea to look at the body, that's something she'll have to build up for.

She'll start with what was found yesterday.]

[There are several mirrors each depicting a room in the castle from yesterday's investigation. Which one would Rebecca like to peer into?]

[ veers right away from the body, no thanks.

There's a bunch of evidence that he's never seen before, though. Confetti? ]

Like the leftovers of a party... Did anybody ever get to go in the ballroom? Or- Akechi, Eichi, did this stuff come with your room's disco ball?

[That sure is a lot of confetti and sequins and glitter. It seems to have come from Wednesday's festival and spread across the stairs. It also appears to be too small to be from a disco ball.]

Where's the actual evidence?

[The mirrors are also mildly unimpressed with 2B ): They don't respond and while the Dragon handles questions from other Narrators they reflect the interior of the castle.

Would 2B like to look at any room in particular for yesterday's evidence?]

... can we take a look at the kitchen? From what I remember, I think some knives might have been missing.

[There's a mirror that depicts the kitchen showing up, the image wavering for a brief moment before it reveals the room itself. Everything about the kitchen seems calm, but the picture is aimed right there the carving knives should be. It's clear that they're missing still, and Monika can see that five knives are gone.]

[Can you read the tapestries from the picture of the dining room?]

[The mirror will happily zoom in! However, because of the zoom, the tapestries will cut off right before the list of abilities.]

Can I see the staircase where we found Reyna?

[ And then, because she wants to see if the mess and Reyna's fall were two separate things: ]

Uh, before she fell, I mean. Say... a half hour before?

[Ann can see the staircase with its sparkles scattered everywhere! However, the mirrors will not be able to rewind and what Ann will see is the empty staircase.]

[So Dazai spent a bunch of time in the tailor, because clothes are more important than all of you, and he remembers its contents decently. How big was that letter opener, esp. compared to the puncture wounds?]

[themodsgrimm]

[The wounds might have been the same size for a puncture via letter opener, but they wouldn't be an exact match in shape.]

[It's your local ink expert, here with Natsuo's shoe with ink on the bottom of it!

Is this that super gross, flaky dry ink that happens when you've left ink to dry for a week? (Not that he has ever been so miserable as to not clean himself up... no...) Or is it just a medium dry ink that's been drying for a day or so?)

[Well, the mirrors wouldn't exactly tell him that but with a little extra looking, Dazai should see that the ink is more on the dry side, yes!]

[OKAY. SO. Is it actually possible to use the mirrors to check Rebecca and Cardia's room to see if the dresses Rebecca took are anywhere visible, or nah?]

[At this time, no it's not!]

[hey so while we're discussing other items, that pipe doesn't appear to have anything on it, does it

listen. i wouldn't put it past gi-gan to have a pipe that's actually a weapon or something.]

[The pipe is just a pipe and now it's cold and sad :(]

[since it's evidence now i'm popping in here just to confirm: does the stiletto knife actually match the wounds or is it just stained

[ while everybody is talking about dicks....... slides back to the evidence--

In the dining hall, does the black ink smear in a specific direction? are there any unusl splatters aside from what normally drips down from the tapestry?

In the armory, does the room look any different besides the swords being rearranged? e.g. and new hidden areas inside?

In the tailor, is anything broken/torn, or is it just knocked over mannequins and stained fabric? ]

mirror mirror on the wall can he see what the inside of the armor that contained gi-gan look like ]

[Now that Dazai's in possession of purple ink off of Reyna's cloak and confetti with black ink on it, he really has to go through with this.

First off: purple ink. He wipes off some with his finger, enough that he can lick it off his finger and not Reyna's cloak, because um ew. What he's looking for is does it taste the same as the ink from Gi-gan's tapestry and does it cause hallucinations like that did?

(Did you know that ink can vary significantly in taste? Now you know.)

Secondly, the black ink he's just licking off the confetti because he doesn't have to return this confetti to anyone. Again, he's looking for: does it taste like the ink from the tapestry, the purple ink, both, neither? And if he wasn't hallucinating already, does this do it?]
