The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 037 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. Oh. Who actually looked at her body when she was found? Or, I guess, who found her and would have thought to check for something like that?

As far as I can tell, we haven't figured out what caused her death yet, or the actual weapon used to kill her. We know there's a letter opener missing and some knives from the kitchen, but she died from puncture wounds.

[ he crosses his arms. ]

I won't pretend I can tell what was used just from looking at her injuries. But I'm pretty sure carving knives and letter openers wouldn't typically leave puncture wounds.

Yeah, I did not think people were going to steal these for stabbing? Which I guess was my mistake. Um. Yep.

[ Rolls up pants. Scowling as usual, but there's nothing suspicious here! ]

So I've noticed. [He frowns a little.] So how do you narrow down who you want to start examining when there's a lot of factors like that involved?

The puncture wounds aren't the right shape for the letter opener, and too small for the knives. Or swords from the armory, even if you did find a sharp one.

Would anyone have something like a needle?

There are people with other weapons. It's possible it was something they already had on them-- though that would also be easier to tie to a specific person.

You could have just mentioned the theory and someone else could have... gotten a paper cut, or something.

Has all of the evidence been found?

[ giving her a serious look. ]

I don't think anyone did. It probably would have been more useful if we did that yesterday versus today though since the sooner you find a body the better, especially since I doubt we have a lot of experts here.

Who was Ion rooming with?

The wounds are about five inches deep? If that helps any. They're also both consistent with one another, so we are looking at only one weapon, probably. Other than that I... I'm not really sure what could have caused them.

And it would have been harder to give someone a wound if they were wearing armor, particularly on the chest.

[so he's still leaning toward it being at least a post-injury thing.]

Let's hope they were all taken to test things and not... to hurt people.

If there was something like a rapier in use, I could see it being one of the swords. All those weapons looked like they were in bad shape, though.
