The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 0??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to your first investigation post! This time, as it is tutorial week, we will be posting toplevels for searchable locations; moving forward, you will post your own toplevels for locations you wish to searh. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 3-4 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. You are then free to make your own toplevels on this post for any threads you would like to have between the end of the investigation and the start of the trial. Anyway Souji will politely nod back to Cardia and Ion and once he's determined the entrance way is fine, IN HE GOES after 2b... Though apparently he's not grabbing a busted ass sword yet.

He will, though, approach the very suspicious pile of weapons??]

[The first thing Kyouka will notice is that one of the suits of armor is missing. Where it once stood, there is merely an empty stone stand.

The second thing Kyouka will notice is that the sword held by the suit of armor next to it is slightly askew.]

Things have been shifted around, I think. This pile wasn't here before, either.

[ she's not going to touch anything, but she will also move closer to examine that pile. ]

[Magnus isn't coming from the wind suite, so he won't see that some of the furniture in the common room is lime green for some reason. Alas.

Also, he's half right! At the foot of the stairs leading from the dorms, there's what looks like a body lying motionless. It's hard to tell who it is, though; purple fabric is obscuring the body's identity.]

This place was in some amount of disrepair, but it wasn't so poorly organized, no...

[ Are the weapons forming a pile the useless rusted ones, or are they some of the few in better condition?

Either way Ion has a staff and he's not afraid to use it to. Also help push those a little, unless they seem particularly precarious... ]

[The tailor is a goddamn mess.

The first thing they'll notice is it looks like there are multiple bodies scattered around the room, covered by mismatched fabrics.]

[Fortunately for Varian, it looks like, at first glance, everything is going to be normal in the dining hall.




...unless you count what looks like body underneath one of the tables off to the side.]

[ OH...GREAT...JUST WHAT HE WANTED....

dave goes up to the nearest body, toes it with his foot, and will investigate it further if it doesn't attack. ]

We totally picked the wrong room.

[ Kyouka goes to where the missing suit once stood and will look around for any marks on the ground.

Was it dragged anywhere? ]

[and then he immediately slips into detective mode, approaching the body to first identify it]

[There aren't any drag marks near the missing suit of armor's base, no!]

[Upon entering the kitchen, they'll first notice that it seems as if it hasn't been used for breakfast. But, hey, maybe there's more farther inside.]

[ 2b follows the rest of the group's lead, directing her ever-present pod to the pile that's caught everyone's eye. ]

Pod, scan the area.

[ can it detect anything, or will they need to take a closer look themselves? ]

[ waver is unfortunately used to murder. but only one corpse at a time.

this...brings a lot of dark memories and waver's already pale face turns even whiter at the site.

but he'll...approach another body, kneeling to observe it closer. ]

How unfortunate.

[A soft smile for her, but very quickly Sanji turns all business, nodding briefly to Sousei and then continuing further in. He... doesn't tiptoe, but he's not really striding in, either.

Really he just wants to make sure no one touched his shit]

[ well, since akechi immediately went for the body, she is going to?? look around if there is anything else out of the ordinary that might be noticeable near it. ]

[There isn't any blood, and the pod's scanning doesn't seem to reveal anything.

However, Souji's and Ion's prodding of the weaponry causes some of the sword pile to shift! It, uh, looks like there's something under there. A foot, attached to a leg wearing black pants.

The leg is probably attached to the rest of the body, but with the swords covering it, it's hard to tell.]

[ tragic. ]

... Crap. I was joking.

[ insert jack making a crack about how he hecked up, that no one can hear. he'll hurry down to have a look. ] Hey, you okay?

[ This entire time, Fane has probably been talking about various things that are definitely canon buzzword nonsense, so I'll spare you that. More importantly, once they enter the room, Fane happens to be at such an angle that the uh. Body. Is pretty clearly visible. ]

Oh, charming. Let's see if they're still alive, shall we?

[ He's very casual and flat about it, but he'll head over to go check it out... He's not at all bothered by the fact that there's a body underneath a table apparently. ]

[ Then she turns to the sword.

If there isn't anything out of the ordinary other than it's slighty askew, she'll try to lift it, if she can. ]

[Shrieking. Immediately. She's covering her mouth with her hands, taking a step away from the Schrodinger corpses. Sorry that she's kind of useless here, but, uhhhhh. Yikes.]

Please, please tell me that those are— I don't know! Christmas trees wrapped up to look like bodies?

[The body, sitting against the doorway, can be identified as one Sharpay Evans. Steph will notice that the placard that had been on the ballroom doors suggesting it can be opened for special occasions has gone missing.]

[ Monika doesn't say anything. Instead she'll catch up to Sanji and slip her hand into his.

Still, she is looking around. Is there anything else in here to find? ]
