The Story Continues...
CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 711 Narrators Remain ;

Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve.

Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take.

By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand.

Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate.

The garden is strangely silent and there are no snacks today...it seems as though you'll be left to your own devices.

[He stares after Monika quietly, only snapping out of it once Ion speaks.]

Ah, if you don't mind making sure that Monika-chan resurfaces just fine, that would be a great help, Ion-kun.

If she's able to return with a third item... [He pauses to cough, even as he drags the net away and picks up his axe again.] Then help her out and see where I might be able to carry these trees to form a bridge.

[If he has to cut them more, he will, but for now, he moves near the first, takes a deep breath, and swings some more.

Actually, with his super strength, and with all of them behind him and not in potential danger of tree death, this is going pretty fast.]

[ At long last she's allowed to let the frogs go! Which she does gladly, wiping the slime against her pants. ]

Then we're almost done here, right?

[ Give her a few moments, and...

she appears...

with...

an egg beater!!!!

Crawling out of the swamp, looking honestly pretty disgusting as water sloshes off her: ]

I-It was all I could find!

[Ion’s there to help Monika out of the water, and with her final find they have another key! He smiles encouragingly at her.]

It’s perfect! Thank you so much for doing all of this.

[You know, it's so funny, knocking these trees down takes almost no effort at all... Lifting them over his shoulder three at a time, entire trees, also is just fine. But when you're in a body like Eichi's, even things that take almost no effort end up difficult.

Just the motion is exhausting, but he's hanging in there!! Anyway, look how cool he looks with three TREES over his shoulder.]

Hello, Monika-chan! Ion-kun, Rebecca-chan! Where should I put these?

... Wow.

Okay um... Just put them across the swap, I guess?

[ holy fuck there are STARS in her eyes as she watches eichi

hopping forward! even if every movement gets disgusting swamp slime everywhere! ]

Yeah, Rebecca's right! If we lay them down over there, we should be able to cross just fine!

[ she'll point and do her best to try and show eichi what she's thinking, without touching him, because gross ]

[Everyone seems to have it covered so Ion will just wait politely until their bridge is secure!]

You're too kind, Ion-kun. It's you I should be thanking... for many things past this little adventure. Beyond that, you're all contributing quite a lot.

[Monika may be a gross swamp monster right now, but as he drops the trees down (with a rumble), he extends that now-free hand to help everyone up, her included. Rebecca, Monika, Ion... he intends to go last.]

Please move carefully. I can help you all over that wall, as well... But I'd ask that you please be careful dropping down to the other side.

[ Rebecca gives him a doubtful look. She's sure the objective that was hers was the one that Monika covered. She's just here. But she won't say anything about it. ]

I think we can stay up here until you come up.

The wall, the wall....!

[ She's excited. Team spirit!!!!

also god bless eichi for helping her up even though she is. just so gross. ]

We should help him up! .... what I mean is, you and Ion probably should, ahaha...

[ she's covered in slime.

[Let’s be real they are all covered in slime at this point. But from the top of the wall with the others, Ion agrees, reaching down for Eichi.]

We’re all here to help one another!

Fufu... you're all too precious.

[He reaches to take the help he can get, moving slowly so as not to tug anyone to come tumbling down with him. And, from the top of the wall, he pauses just long enough to unbutton his uniform jacket, slipping it over Monika's shoulders like a gentleman before he stares down at the other side.

I think they were supposed to yeet over this wall but this is fine. They can drop down into topiary hell. Eichi glances down to his axe, and then tosses it into the area.

The animals all rush it, like they mean to attack.]

Ah... I thought I had seen them moving. To be honest, I'm not sure how we'll I'll do with this part, so please look after me, Rebecca-chan. ♪

[He says that... and then gracefully jumps too strong off the wall like he's seen in his Jojos. He'll manage to touch down on his feet easily enough, but now he's surrounded by vicious topiary animals! Though... it seems like parts of them are occasionally flying away from the mess?

Maybe he's winning.]

[ In his JoJo's... Is Eichi really their only DPS. It looks like it.

So Rebecca will stay in the back, watching wearily as the animals charge at them. ]

Don't worry. I'll heal you up once we're done here. Besides, I'm sure Akechi would rather have you safe and sound

[ well.

... well.

If Eichi is going to give her his jacket like a true gentlman and make her blush like not a gentleman, then Monika is going to make up her fucking mind, put her arms through the sleeves of the jacket so it doesn't fall off her,

and actually leap down onto the topiary. if he can do it she can!!!!

anyway cool let's tear apart topiary animals with our bare hands one of these things will have the chest ]

[Ion joins them with about the same level of enthusiasm as Rebecca. RIP these healers. But he’ll stay just ahead of her, covering his face when any of the animals get too close. He...is trying his best—so somebody can find the chest!]

[Ahh, a partner!! Thankfully, since Eichi is no fighter. He moves like a dancer, even when fighting, movement fluid and following the animals like he's used to that much, at least. But he still gets hurt, scratched, punched, overwhelmed until Monika helps him, and then he's helping her...

And finally, they're done, and Eichi has to drop to a knee to breathe, but there's a chest.]

[Once it's over, she's hurrying over and singing to him and Monika. It's still off key, but hey-- it still works.

Though everybody who hears it and heals up from it will forget that she was the one who healed them.]

[ Man, Monika can't fight either. All she has is her natural athleticism, and while she's graceful, she's no dancer like Eichi. She too gets pretty beat up in exchange for transferring at least some of her slime to all of these angry bushes.

And with Rebecca's help, they've finally got the chest secured! ]
