The Story Continues... CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 711 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. The garden is strangely silent and there are no snacks today...it seems as though you'll be left to your own devices. Welcome to your trial post! [ She nods. She will try her best... and mimic exactly what Rebecca is doing. The closest thing she has to shovel is a fork covered in eel guts. ]

How much should we make it look like a castle?

[disclosures]

[That's... better than nothing!]

Hm... well usually there's like sea shells you put on it? And you add some details. But a four foot high sandcastle is... going to be kind of difficult without any tools.

So maybe we don't have to be totally accurate with the castle part? Let's focus on four foot and then deal with the castle part once we've gotten that done.

[discardia]

All right.

[ time to heap up clumps of sand. WE WILL PROBABLY BE AT THIS FOR A WHILE. ]

[nivation]

[ It's not the freeing gorgeous fish or killing eels they have technical difficulties with. It's a sand castle.

Decorating with sea shells sounds like a great time because sea shells are really pretty? Kyouka looks a little jazzed by that.

She picks up handfuls of (dry) sand and dumps them on top of the pile they're making and tilts her head when the sand just.... slides off like sand does.

Hm. ]

[disclosures]

If you want it to stick, you're going to have to get it wet first.

[Luckily for them, they're not that far off from the ocean.]

But if you dig deep enough in the sand- [Rebecca will just do that now.] You can find some already wet sand to use and stack up.

[discardia]

... Do people normally make them four feet tall?

[ this seems to be aiming more for "tower" than "castle", but they can make it look slightly pretty later. ]

[nivation]

[ It's a sand tower for the sand castle gods.

Kyouka thinks this question is best for Rebecca, so she goes over to where waves meet sand and starts collecting as much wet sand as she can. ]

[disclosures]

Not unless it's for a contest or something like that? Usually they'd stop at like... a foot? Maybe a foot and a half?

[She shrugs!]

I didn't grow up by the beach.

[discardia]

I've never been to a beach. But we'll just have to do our best.

[ okay, they're apparently going for the grimm record of sand castles here. ]

[nivation]

[ Kyouka comes back with all the wet sand she can carry and starts piling it on top of their sand creation and makes sure it sticks. It gets higher and higher, way past half her height. ]

I live near a port, but I never got the chance to go to a beach. Even... like this, with these circumstances.... to experience it... is nice.

[ It could be worse. ]

[disclosures]

I moved from New York to be closer to the beach... That's what I told myself for a long time, anyway.

[She'll go and comes back with some more wet sand, piling it on top.]

I promised Souji I'd show him my beach if we were allowed that much.

[discardia]

[ Cardia's very carefully shaping the tower/castle into some manner of... block as it grows higher, but she nods as she works. ]

I think Souji would like it. But I agree with Kyouka. Even with the situation... this is nice.

[nivation]

Especially if his healthiness remains... he should see and experience the beauty.

[ Let Souji go somewhere sunny, sit on the beach, look at the ocean, collect some seashells.

Kyouka steps back once it reaches the proper height. If building a castle helps everyone return, there's no holding back, right? ]

I'll look for seashells.

[disclosures]

[Then Rebecca's going to keep on adding more sand to this "castle".]

Yeah. ... And I really hope he gets to stay healthy.

Of all the places we could've ended up, I'm glad it was the beach. At least it's nice here. [Even if it's not her beach.]

[discardia]

We're doing what we can. All of us-- maybe that's what they meant by teamwork and trust.

[ but she'll move over to help Kyouka with seashells to make it look pretty. ]

[nivation]

[ Castles have to look pretty!!

As soon as she finds some, she'll put them on the more castle-looking parts that Cardia shaped. ]

We're doing our best. Is this getting close?

[disclosures]

[This looks... about four feet!]

Yeah. I think we hit the height requirement, now all we have to do is embellish it.

[She'll stand and start carving some details into the top of it.]

[discardia]

[ And Cardia will place a little, spiral shell on the top of it.

At which point, a key appears at the base of the castle.

Which is great and all, except now the ground is rumbling, another (much larger) castle is rising up and--?! ]

Ah. There's more.

[nivation]

Someone, grab the key—!

[ Kyouka backs up, super paranoid. Even if this bigger castle probably puts their sand castle to shame, it doesn't have as much heart for the work they put into it.

People come out and beckon them to go inside, and Kyouka looks like she trust none of of these bitches. ]

Do we listen to them?

[disclosures]

[ Rebecca snatches the third key. And now they have all three keys! For... For whatever it off they're looking for! ]

Where else is there? Maybe there's something we're supposed to use these keys on.

[ So she'll start walking forward. ]

[discardia]

[ As it turns out, it's very strong encouragement to enter the castle and find the heart, and Cardia looks like she trusts none of this, but.

She'll head inside.

AND SHALL WE JUST SAY WE FIND A CHEST, COMRADES. ]

[nivation]

[ She will follow the two and will try to shank anyone who looks like they're sus

but YEAH I'M GOOD WITH SAYING THEY FIND ONE (1) CHEST WITH THREE KEYHOLES.
