The Story Continues... CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 711 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. The garden is strangely silent and there are no snacks today...it seems as though you'll be left to your own devices. Welcome to your trial post! [They're doing great.

At least Yasusada can sense danger, and he gently touches Reyna's arm, offering her a small smile in an attempt to calm her down. Don't murder the captain immediately...]

Where to first?

[wearys]

[ reyna no killing ]

I guess below deck to where they keep the cargo?

[ half-whispered so no nearby pirates catch on. ]

[resumed]

[The captain leaves with Nico's coin and he frowns a little, but there's something glinting on the deck. Stepping forward, he swipes up the key left in the captain's wake and pockets it, nodding at Magnus's suggestion.]

We should check there but split up into smaller groups? It'll help us cover more ground.

[toughchoices]

That's a good idea. How do we want to split up?

[Asked quietly as the head down to the cargo hold.]

[okitactless]

I can look for the spinning wheel.

[Taking cues from them, he also speaks quietly--and it's probably not a surprising suggestion. He can't sew, and while he wouldn't be averse to wearing a dress, it'd probably take too long for him to change out of all of his clothes...]

[wearys]

I can look for... [ hm, dress or materials for the fake dress. dress sounds easier. ] the dress? Who's going to wear it, though?

[resumed]

Uh. You? [It's not going to be him.] If you're looking for it it should be you, Magnus. [He thinks though...] I can look for the materials to sew something up. I should still have some thread and a needle in my pocket.

[toughchoices]

In that case, I'll see if I can track down some weapons. They're bound to have some around here somewhere... and they'll come in handy if we're discovered.

[worst case scenario she can knock out some pirates and steal their swords]

[Look at all these useful, competent people

Yasusada's already got his sword, but he isn't going to argue against more weapons, especially if Magnus is going to be too busy being a pretty princess to help them fight their way off of this ship.]

Alright. Should we decide where to meet back up?

[wearys]

[ opens mouth. closes it. he did this to himself, didn't he. ]

All right, I'll... wear the dress when I find it.

[ everyone else is a better fighter, so he'll let them do that while he's pretty, he. guesses. he's glad no one will have a camera on hand. ]

Near the spinning wheel?

[ do they need to shove pirates into it? ]

[resumed]

[There's a closed-lipped smile.]

Good idea. We'll grab out things and meet you there. Hopefully the cargo hold won't be too large. [He nods to himself and begins to walk.] Don't take too long, okay? And try to yell if something happens.

[toughchoices]

[Reyna nods.

May all the gods have mercy on these pirates' souls, because she's off to raid their armory. Aaaand a roll of the dice has determined that she will indeed have to knock out some pirates to do that, so, uh.

Hm.

Anyway, a the others may hear a bit of a thud and a dragging noise as she does that. But hey, it's probably fine? Nobody is calling for backup so she probably managed to sneak up on them.

She'll reconvene with the others at the spinning wheel in a bit.]

[It's fine? It's fine. These aren't Sanji and Jae-ha pirates, they're dumb NPC pirates, so there is absolutely no problem with any of this.

For his part, Yasusada's off to go find the spinning wheel! And a coin flip has decided that Yasusada's got to do a little bit of fighting too--but since Yasusada is hardly subtle, let's just let him knock out one pirate and leave him there in the hall. It's like a sword breadcrumb trail or something.]

[wearys]

[ this is fine. fine!! fine.

magnus manages to slip down and start opening cargo without any fighting. where would a feather dress be? maybe a nice trunk. he hopes it... fits. over his clothes, too.

when he does find it he finds it... doesn't. it'll only fit his lean frame minus shirt and jeans. so he has to steal a handbag to put his regular clothes in and. gets caught. in his boxers, while putting on the dress.

ignore the thump you hear from magnus tackling a pirate in his boxers, thanks. ]

[resumed]

[And while all of that is going on, he's busy scouring the cargo hold with anything he can find. It takes time, but he eventually comes up with a few ripped flags, some netting, and a sail.

It's not a perfect dress by any stretch of the imagination, and it's most likely going to fall apart the moment someone wears it, but it counts.

He gets ambushed about halfway though, so while the rest of the group hears thumps, they'll also hear a yell of a pirate before a thump and then some silence.

He doesn't waste time in case back-up gets called and he wraps up the dress, hastily sewing before shoving the supplies in his pockets and running to find the spinning wheel.He won't be the first there, most likely, but he's making an effort.]

[toughchoices]

[SUCCESS. Reyna's got a plethora of weapons - everyone can take their pick as she darts back to their prearranged meeting point. She's uh, got a bit of blood on her but it's fine! It's... fine.]

Nico! [Thank goodness, there he is. Does he still have his Stygian iron sword or does he need an assist? She's got plenty to pick from.] There are one or two on my heels - are you ready to knock these pirates into the wheel?

[Any of their allies who needs a weapon will get one tossed their way as they arrive...]

[Yasusada's done his best to guard the area until they can all convene here, but he definitely heard all those thumps and bumps and yells, and when he sees one (1) Reyna and one (1) Nico, he figures this part is in good hands.]

I'm going to back up Magnus-kun!

[Since it's kind of mean to make him fight pirates in his undies and somehow shuffle all the way here in a feather dress--but he takes a second to snatch a dagger from Reyna, just in case, and takes off back down the corridor, darting past her opponents. Hopefully they'll get distracted by him and leave her and Nico with a clean opening to take them out.]

[wearys]

[ thank you yasu because magnus is now. running in a feather dress hoisted at his waist. he's doing his best, but there are definitely some pirates on his trail. there's feathers flying. ]

I think they know we're doing some weird shit!

[ is what magnus shouts when he finds yasu. ]

[resumed]

[And while Yasusada and Magnus are dealing with pirates and feathers, Nico's drawing his stygian iron sword and facing Reyna, dress slung over his shoulder and armed to attack.]

We should take out as many as we can before we knock the last one unconscious. Are you ready? [There's hardly time for a reply as the pirates come.]

[toughchoices]

I was born ready.

[...she says, while slicing into a pirate as he darts into the room. #bye

Fighting with Nico is as natural to Reyna as breathing - it won't be very difficult at all for the two of them to take out quite a few of their pursuers. When there's only one or two left, Reyna shoves one in Nico's direction.]

Coming your way!

["No, really?!" Yasusada might've shouted at Magnus, were he a more sarcastic sword--but fortunately, when he's in fight mode, his focus doesn't stray.]

I've got it, just go! [He yells instead; he doesn't waste time stopping to check on Magnus, barely even giving him a second glance before he charges between him and the pirates in pursuit. With their (admittedly very thin) cover already blown, he wastes no time in slamming the dagger right into the chest of the first one, letting momentum and instinct carry him into a strike with his own sword at the second. He's not really made for fighting in narrow spaces like this, but he's managed it before, nonetheless.]

[wearys]

[ onwards to the spinning wheel, reyna, and nico he goes! like the feathery princess he is!



... he's uh, a little taken aback at them like. straight up slicing up pirates. poor pirates? ]

[resumed]

[Fighting with Reyna is the most natural thing in the world and her slicing up pirates doesn't seem different. He's using his own sword to hack and slash, and when a pirate comes barreling toward him he looks up to catch the guy by the collar and also see Magnus.]

Where's Yasusada!? [But no time is wasted as he turns to slam the pirate into the spinning wheel. Down he goes.

Three keys drop onto the ground at their feet.]

[okitactless]

Here!

[Luckily, Yasusada's an efficient fighter--it doesn't take him long to dispatch Magnus's pursuers, and although he's got plenty of blood on his clothes and sword now, he's still not far behind.]

Did we do it?!

[wearys]

[ he's there, nico. yasusada is there. ]

I think so? We have four keys. Now we just have to find the chest, right?

[ will reyna give him a sword. ]
