CHAPTER SEVEN ; TRIAL
CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 7 Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. The garden is strangely silent and there are no snacks today...it seems as though you'll be left to your own devices. ![]() Welcome to your trial post! no subject
[ she looks around. ]
Where to?
no subject
...I’m gonna guess that way.

[ she's going to very slowly creep up towards it, using the like. trees and stuff as cover?? and sure enough, they can spot tim curry through the foliage. ]
no subject
What do we do?
no subject
[ and she then steps out of the trees towards the pirate, without telling evan what the signal is. ]
Sir! Help, I was just robbed!
[ tim curry immediately just. holds his sword out. ]

[ she's pretending to have a case of the vapors? tim curry will lean towards her, like he's unsure whether to stab her or not. unfortunately, he gets too close, because steph is going to promptly fucking punch him in the face, making him drop the sword. ]
Evan!
[ apparently the signal was his name. ]
no subject
Hold his arm!
[time to ride this wave of adrenaline far enough to cut off his hand before he remotely thinks about what he’s doing!!]
no subject
luckily, she has great upper body strength. ]
Now!
no subject
As soon as they both get blood splattered, he seems to realize all of a sudden what he’s done, and promptly drops the sword.]
...Oh my god. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.
[Stephanie, please drag him away from this very unhappy pirate now.]
no subject
still, she takes him being distracted to push him away from the two of them, before turning around to grab evan by the hand. ]
Run!
no subject
tim curry is definitely flying backwards and hitting a tree for some reason!]
...Didn’t you fall over the last time you tried to run in that?!
no subject
[ SHE IS IN A LOT OF PAIN RIGHT NOW BUT THEY NEED TO NOT DIE ]
no subject
[while they relive escape from monkey island.]
no subject
[ WHERE ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO BE RUNNING TO ]
no subject
Not far!
[In fact, he sees the X on the ground within a few minutes. But, um.]
...We don’t have a shovel.
[TIME TO DIG WITH THEIR HANDS he’s starting immediately!!]
no subject
but steph will!! start digging too!! ]
Why.
no subject
[It’s fine though, they’ll just keep digging!!
...And then fall through into an underground cavern, as one does.]
What—?!
[Luckily, before they can hit the ground, they’re being suspended by air.]
no subject
[ thank god for evan's powers. steph's is so useless for adventuring. ]
Evan, I love you.
no subject
T-Thanks. I, um, I love you too. [But...] We just have to look around, right? Until we find the chest.
no subject
[ they're already covered in dirt and blood, so. it truly cannot get any worse. ]
no subject
[But he’s moving to look around regardless, frowning.]
I don’t see anything yet. You?
no subject
[ and after what is probably a long while of searching: ]
Wait, Evan. Look over there.
