The Story Continues... CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 711 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. The garden is strangely silent and there are no snacks today...it seems as though you'll be left to your own devices. Welcome to your trial post! [ okay, walking, walking is also fine. he veers off in a third direction, giving them a wave as he does. just. twisting through some alley-ways. which are probably filthy? from? being a medieval city? who would want to follow him through this. ]

[HOPEFULLY NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE. Souji thinks he might hear some footsteps uncomfortably close in the meantime, but he's also able to dodge and weave pretty well... NO GETTING CAUGHT TODAY.]

[good job souji... shirasu doesn't take too long to return to their starting point after his own dodge-and-weave adventure, though when they show up he doesn't seem to be there.

that's because he's casually hopping down from a nearby rooftop when the two of them have both arrived.]

I didn't see anyone following you, so I believe we're fine so long as we keep an eye out.

[what else is ninja bullshit good for, okay.]

[ reaching the starting point, he looks at shirasu.

you dramatic asshole. goddamn ninja. ]

Alright. Tailor's? And do either of you know how to spin on a wheel?

[ sleeping beauty he may be but how tf do spindles and shit work ]

[Why must Shirasu be This Way...

Souji's used to dealing with ninjas though considering his doctor back home is also a ninja, so he doesn't bat a lash as Shirasu just hops on down.]

That's good, at least. [A nod! Also Shirasu can get the key for that one in his pocket THERE YOU GO. ONE OBJECTIVE LEFT.

In the meantime, he'll turn and start leading the way to the tailor!]

...Well, no, but we don't actually have to make anything, right?

[he's following souji's lead, keeping an eye out for any of the men they've already run into.]

I only know from the moving Sleeping Beauty. It's like... a wheel that thread goes on I think? And has a really sharp thing for some reason.

[ that they better avoid touching. but they have three tries if any of them do. ]

[Wow they're definitely going to have to ask someone to show them how to spin something without stabbing themselves.

BUT TO THE TAILOR!! There's probably a backroom in here with looms and spinning wheels and all that tomfoolery since it's ye olde anyway, who knows how they did things.]

Something like that, I believe... we didn't have that, ah, movie. [a pause.] Or whatever a movie is.

[but yes, the tailor! when they're greeted, shirasu gives the employee there a pleasant smile.]

Ah, we actually received a recommendation to visit you, but we have a couple of questions first, if you wouldn't mind...?

[a gesture toward the back room, and-]

We're quite interested in your spinning process, actually. I've heard it's very important to the finished product.

[he's bsing this so hard.]

[ magnus will let the bullshit ninja bullshit this, just smiling politely from behind him. so unsuspicious!! ]

[sanguinairy]

[Souji just kind of wanders off while they're talking to go look at some of the fabrics near the back room... Just so the poor salesperson doesn't get Overwhelmed with all three of them standing there like "SHOW US YOUR SECRETS".

But the store employee does seem happy enough to talk about the spinning process! They have all the best silk threads, you know, and that's why no other shop can beat their quality, and hey, maybe he'd like to come check their Sweet Equipment out?]

[souji helped charm those dudes so shirasu doesn't mind doing this... but heck yes, bingo on the spinning.]

We'd appreciate that, if you wouldn't mind.

[and just gesturing to the other two-- come on guys they're getting a demo so let's figure out how not to get injured doing this spinning thing.]

[ mental high fives except shirasu is a jerk.

magnus follows along. wow, spinning. amazing. magnus is baffled. youtube is not helping. ]

But Souji will follow these nerds on in as they're led to the back! Look at all this... ye olde stuff. It's probably cramped back here. There's like, bits of fleece dust flying all over the room so hopefully no one gets the sneezes.

WATCHING HIM DO THE SPINNING THING, THOUGH.]

--Ah, do you mind if we give it a try? It looks quite fun and we'll be very careful.

[Glancing to the other two like BACK ME UP.]

[shirasu is being helpful here, thanks, he would very much like to come back to life?

but the shopkeeper is eager enough to help them out here! he is definitely hoping for a sale, probably. he smiles and agrees that sure, they can try if they're cautious, just don't break anything or they might have to replace it!!]

Thank you-- ah, perhaps you'd like to try first?

[he nods to magnus, throwing him under this spinning wheel bus.]

[ shirasu what the fuck. ]

-- Huh? Oh, yeah, I'd love to. It's... always been a dream of mine, to spin a wheel.

[ the shopkeeper probably thinks that's... weird, but okay. magnus sits down and attempts to thread the... bobbin or whatever.

the wheel doesn't even get to take a spin before magnus ends up stabbing himself right in the thumb. ]

Shit! [ away from the wheel he gets. ] Uh, sorry, perhaps my friends will be less clumsy than I am. My dreams usually turn out this way.

[sanguinairy]

[Shirasu also gets a mild look from Souji at that STOP PICKING ON THIS POOR BOY!

But he'll watch as Magnus gives it his... best... here. And then stabs himself. Hopefully he's not getting any blood on the wool because the shopkeep is looking concerned! Like for Magnus yeah, but also for his PRECIOUS WOOLS AND SILKS.]

Are you alright...? [But huh, guess that means he's up to bat now. HE'S JUST GOT TO SPIN SOMETHING, RIGHT? He'll sit and thread the bobbin thingy as carefully and delicately as he can... At least his hands are no longer shaky, god.

Souji actually gets the wheel to turn this time, though! He's spinning! Mission success! --And then another worker comes through the door quite loudly and Souji, who had been concentrating on not stabbing himself, jumps and stabs himself.]

--Ah.

[wagashis]

[i can't believe you're hinging our success on shirasu except yeah i absolutely believe you are.

shirasu looks more concerned for souji than for magnus, after each of them is bleeding-- but okay, it seems like he's up? he's had some time to observe and he's a fast study, so.

he'll take it a little slowly, just to be sure he doesn't manage to injure himself by working too fast, and after a slow start he manages to get this wheel thing going? hallelujah. it's spinning, yarn is happening, he has yet to get stabbed by this spindle... apparently they just needed to make the dead guy do it because he's already been stabbed recently.

[ no fabric gets blood on it from magnus, anyway. that thumb goes right into his mouth. ]

Yeah, I'm fine.

[ and then two minutes later. ]

You okay?

[ go, go shiraranger! magnus is genuinely surprised shirasu doesn't stab himself and bad-end this adventure. and. the thing has been spun. so they should get the last key?

meanwhile, to the worker, ] Such a delicate process you have. We'd each like a jacket from this cloth here, spare no expense. [ he. holds out money from then purse they snatched.

they can't leave without buying something? ]

[sanguinairy]

I'm fine, too.

[THANKS FRIEND. He also offers a smile for Shirasu's concerned look before blotting the blood away on his own sleeve.

Anyway, once Shirasu's done his mission success, Souji feels the weight of the last key in his pocket! Magnus is also on a roll and he won't stop him, instead drifting back over to a wall of Lovely Jackets.]

This blue one is nice.

[Please let them all get stupidly ritzy jackets before the city becomes an empty maze.]

Do you think so? I suppose it would suit you...

[and you know what, why not, it's not their money!

shirasu is finding a purple one because of course it's purple. time to look fancy and squad up before they escape, whether they get to keep these or not.]

[wearys]

[ magnus is going for green. they will be the fanciest jackasses around.

then they can blow this popsicle stand and. go be at the city center. ]

[FANCY JACKASS SQUAD ROLL OUT. And here they are, in a maze in an emptyass city.]

...Well. Hopefully this is a good sign...?

I can climb up and see if I can spot where it is?
