The Story Continues... CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 711 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. The garden is strangely silent and there are no snacks today...it seems as though you'll be left to your own devices. Welcome to your trial post! [Once Veronica jumps across, he approaches the edge, and... freezes. He glances back at Dazai, and:]

...Yes, please.

[Dazai picks Evan up carefully before tossing him across - he'll land safely on the other side, not even near the edge.

Then he yeets himself over to follow.]

Sorry we're late, Souji!

[SO MANY YEETS SO LITTLE TIME. Having realized he lost his squad, he's doubled back at least, and waits for them before once more heading toward the tower. It seems to have guardrails, at least?? Hopefully no one will die.]

[Well. They could fall and die again, but that's fine.]

[Sailing across he goes! And then he’s picking himself up and looking at the tower with pretty unmistakable fear. Regardless, he’s taking a few steps towards it.]

...Yeah. Yeah, that, that looks great. I’m sure it’ll be fine.

It's alright, I'll catch you if you fall.

[And then probably Dazai will also fall, but they can at least use him as a cushion for their landing.]

...Well, I'll go first, then?

[HE'S CONCERNED ABOUT THE REST OF THEM but he's also just here to go turbo. So he'll start to scale the ladder. Is there a ladder? A flimsy fire escape at least?? HOPEFULLY.]

No one's going to fall. I promise. We can do this.

[Too bad the dead didn't keep their gifts because wind manipulation sounds so useful right now. Either way, she's moving after Souji. Were they meant to do these in a specific order? Whoops.]

Yeah, I’m not gonna fall, so you don’t have to catch me, it’s fine. It’s fine.

[He’s moving after the two of them as well, taking a breath before he starts climbing the ladder that probably exists.]

[Dazai will still be at the bottom of the ladder, and he will still catch Evan if he hypothetically falls, which he's not going to.

Hope no one's wearing a skirt.]

[Well. Souji is wearing a yukata, but it's fine, they're fine. UP THE TOWER THEY GO, UP AND UP TO THEIR DEATHS...

With the sound of geese coming from somewhere nearby, probably.]

BUT UP AND UP THEY GO... Presumably to the top where they'll have a nice view of where they can go from here. Also, geese.]

... They're seriously taking something from everyone's title, huh?

[He takes a deep breath once they’re done climbing, and then... looks at all these geese. Hm.]

How do we, um, want to do this?

[At least they're not swans. Also Dazai apologizes for the tower.]

...If Evan could do his wind thing he could just herd them up that way, it'd take like two minutes.

It looks like it...

[Sorry he brought the geese to this adventure, friends. But he'll look back toward Evan at that! There's a coop on the other side of the roof and ALL THESE GEESE.]

Well, we only need to get six, right? We could also catch a few, too.

[... HM.]

... Evan's gift sounds like it's the easiest route, but I'm worried about agitating them too much if it fails. [then the geese will be out for Blood.] How does you gift work, exactly?

It’s basically, um, moving things without having to touch them using the wind. I’m not sure how long I could hold them in one place without touching them, though.

Maybe it'd be easier to just do it the normal way.

[Aaaand he's gonna try and pick up a goose, which immediately starts squawking at him, but at least he's holding it?]

Evan can keep them from running too far, I suppose...?

[In the meantime he'll also just fucking zip his way after a little group of geese just hanging out trying to enjoy their day. Eventually he'll manage to grab two, so he can tuck them under his arms and carry them like footballs.]

That should do the trick. We catch the geese, and Evan makes sure none of them slip away.

[EASIER SAID THAN DONE because

it's gonna be really obvious that Veronica has never dealt with a bird in her life in 0.5 seconds.

The only goose she manages to catch wiggles around like a noodle?? She's grabbing it incorrectly??? They're both suffering????? Someone save the poor goose as she waddles over to the coop.]

[He’ll just be here to supervise, then, and stop the geese from fleeing as needed. This is fine!!]
