grimmoired2018-07-28 08:34 amCHAPTER SEVEN ; TRIAL
| CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 7 Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. The garden is strangely silent and there are no snacks today...it seems as though you'll be left to your own devices. Welcome to your trial post! Please see here for the OOC summary of events from yesterday's investigation. In addition, please be sure to vote! Please see the voting page on how to vote, as we will have two special things to vote for. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST or sooner if the game ICly elects so. If you have any questions, please ask on our Discord server or ping us on plurk. Please direct pings for the NPC to Dana (

[ he kind of looks like he wants to argue, but. also tired. everyone's tired. ]
no subject
[closing his EYES but he'll elaborate]
I'm not having you or Ion killed, so deal with it, you're living.
Stephanie-chan has dealt with enough.
Souji's gonna kill me and then you all vote for him, easy as shit, and we get the numbers we need.
no subject
[ that sounds a little grumbly, in a teenager sort of way. ]
I mean, I guess I'm not arguing, just curious why those of us out of the loop should be cool with it?
no subject
You don't have to be cool with it.
But it's going to happen.
no subject
[ he's just going to be a teenager about this all day. ]

I'm not trying to be divisive, I... just want to make sure that this is our best choice? [ pause ] Or maybe I just want to belatedly get to throw in my two cents.
no subject
[Sorry, Magnus!! She gives him a thin smile.]
Just... let me explain everything we know, and then we can discuss as a group. [once this top level is finished, rip] They're not doing anything just yet, anyway.
no subject
... All right. I'll shut my mouth. For now, anyway.

[ pls!!! ]
no subject
Eh. Eye of the beholder and all that shit.
[...]
And if that doesn't settle well, imagine how Varian would feel if something happened to you.
I'm the better choice for this.

This is cheating.
[ stop using her stabby child against her like this... ]

Varian asked the same thing of me.
[ to. make sure that all three of them survive, somehow. which only proves how many times he wanted to express the sentiment that steph doesn't get to die? ]
I don't doubt that he might have gotten more creative in his week of not having to play liaison anymore.

[ look. she loves varian but she cannot say without a doubt that he wouldn't stab someone. ]
It just feels a little unfair to be out of the running.

[ ion mainly knows because it was his partner, after all. ]
no subject
[ is he at least not the only one ignorant here. ]

[ it's really not that big a pool, but that already makes five out of their eleven. ]
... There's always the possibility that any of those involved told others as well, but...
[ well. you know. ]
no subject
[so technically she didn't know about souji and sanji's suicide pact, but.]
And Steph was supposed to tell Veronica...
no subject
[SHE'S TIRED, Y'ALL.]
no subject
[a beat.]
Also, I guess Akechi was sort of in on it, but he also died before learning about the suicide pact.
[he forgot about akechi, sorry akechi]
no subject
Wow, that's so sad.
