The Story Continues... CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 7??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to this week's investigation post! This time, the mods will be providing top-levels for you to search. Please note the Locations page for your reference. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 1-2 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. He just gives a wan little smile, though, before turning his attention back to The Search. After clearing the tables, he'll move to the four racks of clothing, starting with the two women's and moving to the two men's after. Anything torn, blood-splattered, out of place?]

[ even inside their hats and bags and other accessories?! Hikage's being thorough here!!

Once he's through with that, though, he goes over towards the spinning wheels and their baskets of yarn, opening the baskets methodically. ]

[Hats, bags, accessories...they're all safe! It looks like all the outfits, big and small, have been left alone. The spinning wheels and yarn are all accounted for, as well. Thank you for doing the lord's work.]

[TO THE WOODEN TRUNK HE GOES, time to shift around through the garbage in here. Are we having another shoegate today? Is there a whole extra body stuffed inside?]

[psychedelica]

[ Hikage makes an annoyed grunt as he continues to turn up nothing. ]

This is a waste of time...

[ whatever!! all that's left to look at is the baskets of premade fabric and beginner sewing kits, which he rifles through in frustration. ]

[Will Higake ever be happy? Stay tuned.

But, finally, their collective searching turns up something! Once again, cloth has been taken from the stores of premade fabric.]

Mm, I haven't found anything yet...

[But he'll move on to check the supplies with the needles, threads, pincushions etc, and also the patterns!]

... I think there's something missing over here.

[ given how much time he spends in the tailor (very little), he's not entirely sure, but he stares into the basket questioningly. ]

[Souji doesn't find anything else missing--it looks like the cloth is the only thing that's been taken. Staring at it questioningly doesn't do much to change his insight. Sorry, honey, my modly powers only extend so far.]

[At least he doesn't have to run over a whole library this time...

ANYWAY he'll go over to Hikage's side to stare questioningly into the basket, too. Since he's been here a few times to cut cloth for bandages and also to hack blood into, he recognizes that some is missing!]

Ah, you're right... But it doesn't seem like anything else has been taken, I think?

["I think" because the piano incident haunts both Souji and also me.]

[ are they missing something in here...? More importantly, does it matter? Hikage doesn't seem too pressed about it all. ]

Just some cloth, right? I don't go in here that often.

[ just to check, Hikage gives the ceiling a glance, too. In case something's hiding up there. ]

[Nope...nothing on the ceiling, either! Souji's intimate knowledge of needing blood rags is the real MVP here.]

[Sometimes you just need to hack your lungs up, okay.]

Mm, some cloth is gone.

[Actually about how much is missing, like is it an entire bolt? Just part of one? fortunately i don't think he'd memorize patters but he'd probably at least be able to make note of the color, especially if it was a bright or notable one.]

[ a sigh. ]

Does that really matter...

[ he's ready to be done with this. Let them kill who they have to kill and be finished!! ]

[It looks like it's just enough cloth for a couple of bandages, in his experience.

I hope Hikage stabs someone.]

[i also hope for that tbh BUT HM. He'll make mental note of that before stepping away.]

Who can say? [But it's said gently and with Exhaustion, so Souji is probably done here, too. He'll nod toward the door.]
