The Story Continues... CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 715 Narrators Remain ; Just before Narrators awake, those who are still attached to partners will dream of the two of them together – and then the sudden snap of a red string that connects the two of them. Once they awake, they’ll find the entire section of the rulebook pertaining to Partners has disappeared entirely. Apparently the time for partnerships is over. In addition, the castle has begun to empty out. Perhaps Narrators will notice it now especially on this morning, as their footsteps echo and the halls lack the familiar faces they’ve come to know. Upon entering the dining hall, the tapestries of Evan Hansen, Lord El-Melloi II, Natsuo, Fon Master Ion, Fane, Varian, and Zelos Wilder will all catch flame and disappear as the fire engulfs them entirely, leaving nothing behind. Yet one oddity seems to have enchanted the castle this week – there are the sounds of running footsteps and the familiar laughter of those who have departed. Should you choose to follow this noise, you’ll be led to the Puppet Room. The door will shut behind you – you’ll catch be movement out of the corner of your eye. Yet instead of a puppet entering the stage and re-enacting a dramatic scene, it will just suddenly appear… closer to you. It lingers there, and makes no other move. Welcome to Week 7, everyone! ... We got stuck in this carnival. There were a bunch of kids there.

These were the three we could save.

I thought maybe they'd come through the door with us, but...

[That's incredibly alarming.]

They... turned into ink when you crossed the threshold?

Are you okay?

[Emotionally! Because for some reason Akechi's on healer duty today.]

[ISN'T IT JUST? Sanji and the others had such a good time!]

Heh... disappointed, I guess.

[And heartbroken but y'know. Classic Sanji at this point. What is happiness? Can you eat it?]

They asked us to save them, and for a moment, it looked like we were gonna.

[disclosures]

[If anybody could successfully make something taste like happiness...]

I'm sorry.

[What else is there to say? It feels like she never has the right words at the right times in this place.]

At least they're not back there.

[Small consolation though it is]

Kinda wondering if they were participants in a previous war, since we got the ink.

[disclosures]

At least they don't feel like they're about to be eaten at any time.

[But is this really better.]

Like they got trapped in one of those Wednesday doors? I guess it's possible.

[concasse]

Yeah... wasn't there one you'd gone through that felt like you'd been trapped for a couple of years?

Might've been similar, except they really were trapped for that amount of time.

[disclosures]

Yeah, but I was taking care of a child the last time I was in one of those.

[Not what sounds like a hell carnival that wanted to eat them.]

You'd think one of the Crafters would try pulling them out.

[concasse]

Yeah, you'd think... especially if they're sources of ink, like us.

[Hm.]

Maybe they can't and that's why they keep sending us in?

[disclosures]

[Hm...]

It might... take them more ink to pull people out of those doors. Like it's easy to open a door, but it's hard to get what's been stuck inside of a door out? Something like that?
