CHAPTER 7 ; MINGLE
CHAPTER 7 - WEEK 7 Just before Narrators awake, those who are still attached to partners will dream of the two of them together – and then the sudden snap of a red string that connects the two of them. Once they awake, they’ll find the entire section of the rulebook pertaining to Partners has disappeared entirely. Apparently the time for partnerships is over. In addition, the castle has begun to empty out. Perhaps Narrators will notice it now especially on this morning, as their footsteps echo and the halls lack the familiar faces they’ve come to know. Upon entering the dining hall, the tapestries of Evan Hansen, Lord El-Melloi II, Natsuo, Fon Master Ion, Fane, Varian, and Zelos Wilder will all catch flame and disappear as the fire engulfs them entirely, leaving nothing behind. Yet one oddity seems to have enchanted the castle this week – there are the sounds of running footsteps and the familiar laughter of those who have departed. Should you choose to follow this noise, you’ll be led to the Puppet Room. The door will shut behind you – you’ll catch be movement out of the corner of your eye. Yet instead of a puppet entering the stage and re-enacting a dramatic scene, it will just suddenly appear… closer to you. It lingers there, and makes no other move. ![]() Welcome to Week 7, everyone! We would also like to remind players to submit all of their Chapter 6 PCs and new PCs at the Private Conversations page and review the weekly ooc notes for important details in the castle. Something odd will be arriving on Wednesday, July 25th so keep your eyes peeled for that as well.

[So, it's his turn, finally? Eichi is rather quiet as he approaches the tapestries dripping ink, and he stays there for a bit too long, looking at Belph's, and then Sanji's, followed by his own. He holds out his palm to catch the ink from his own and stares at it there, looking a little lost behind his practiced smile.]
I wonder... is this really winning, in this game?
[Someone get his hand out from the ink thanks.]
Library - Monday & Tuesday
[Aside from that, there's no music for Eichi, this week. He's still ill, though he's trying harder and harder to look fine. He has his tea as normal, but it's the library he heads to. He's gone there often enough, but this time he's there more frequently, either staring at the leather-bound book that keeps adding more with increasing frustration, or settling down in a chair with some nice books on war.
No matter who it is he happens to see enter, he'll smile and offer a little wave.]
I hope you're doing well, today.
monday, library
She grabs a book at random and sinks into a chair nearby.]
Not really.

I'm worried about the end of this week and we haven't even gotten there yet.

[He leans forward in his chair, folding his book over his finger so not to lose his place, but still trying to be a little closer to Rebecca.]
Please, don't worry yourself too much. Your presence helps Goro as much as his helps you, so I'd appreciate it if you could stay calm. Things are coming to an end, slowly but surely, aren't they?

Souji is definitely looking a little concerned at his fellow sickly over here, though, gently stepping over and barely casting a look up toward the "bloodied" tapestries.]
--Who can say? [But he will just sort reach out and touch Eichi's elbow as if to say "you stop that".] You probably won't find an answer like this, though.

I had wondered if these intended to count our actions back home alone, or in this place, as well. It seems this answers it... probably.

Souji glances up at the tapestries at that, though, lips briefly pressing into a thin, thoughtful line.]
--Probably. [WELL, THIS IS FINE.] We should get you cleaned up.
no subject
Does it matter? I've already stained these hands beyond what can be cleaned. [dramatic] Well, but I'd like to avoid getting it on my face, I suppose.

[He'll pull his hand away from his own tapestry, finally, but now it's dripping, too.]
Did you want to do such a thing? There are many great thinkers who came to wonderful answers or theories after doing something like that.

[hurrah, inky tapestries for all!]
Nah. I prefer not thinking.

I spent so much time discussing you, that I forgot that I hadn't said hello at all. It's my fault... I hope you'll forgive me.

[ Everyone is some kind of combination of sick, tired, or depressed. ]

[Or, that's what he's hoping for. He's still just watching the ink pool in his hand then drip down.]
Are you doing alright, Kyouka-chan? If you're one of those who is angry with me, it's fine if you want to punch me.

If I wanted to harm you, I would have already. [ Isn't that nice to hear? ] I did not like what you did, but I understand why you did.

I'm sorry that things are difficult, Kyouka-chan. But I do believe we can fix this.

I'm not, though? [That question mark] Don't tell me you're jealous, Hikage-kun?

What is there to be jealous of?

[Okay,] If you continue to go around scowling like that, you'll wrinkle your pretty face, so stop it already.

Better, I guess.
GOOD,,,
Better is good, isn't it? We're all nearing the end, and I believe we all mean to make it a good one, so it's a positive feeling that I'm sensing, overall, among the dread. ♪ [Don't music note that]
Even speaking to me as you are now, despite that hesitation... it's the same for you, isn't it?

We are definitely going to make it a good one. [ she has no doubt about that. ] I'm just not very patient.
