The Story Continues... CHAPTER 6 - WEEK 6??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to this week's investigation post! This time, the mods will be providing top-levels for you to search. Please note the Locations page for your reference. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 1-2 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. he's taking a moment to ensure he remembers how these bones looked when he found them and then he is

going to do exactly that and see if he can put fane back together, checking the bones for damage as he does. the head bone's connected to the neck bone connected to the god this is fucked up y'all.]

skeleton jigsaw it is. with time and effort, shirasu will be able to reassemble fane - one of the humerus bones is is snapped in half, with cracks on either side of the break; a femur bone has been badly crunched up. there is also a crack in one of his wristbones which he's been sporting for weeks now.

aside from that, the bones seem mostly undamaged - though now that the skull is out of the water, it seems to be leaking crimson ink in the same way that fane's wrist wound once leaked Source.]

[you suggested this don't "well okay" me!!

but he's going to, uh, try not to get that ink on him now that it's leaking... at least it's red.

all bones are accounted for though, right? also do these look like blunt impact damage or are there marks in the bones that look like they'd be from something else?]

[the bones are all accounted for, yes!

the femur bone looks as though it took some kind of impact when it got crunched up - though it's a little more difficult to tell what might have caused the cracs on either side of the humerus bone's break. either way, aside from the noted fractures, the rest of the bones are undamaged.]

[he'll note all that and, uh.

if fane's skull is caved in on one side like you said, he's going to. well. hm.

check the inside and please don't make me regret this.]

[it's fine, there's nothing in there but air]

[thank god nobody put something in the skull

but he'll inspect the fountain itself for anything amiss!]

[the fountain itself is fine! perhaps shirasu would like to look at some of the things around it? flowerbeds, pathways, rosebushes...]

[those are next! he's going to walk the pathways nearby first, checking the ones on each side of the fountain for anything amiss.]

[the pathways themselves seem pretty clear - no puddles of questionable liquid along the walkways! however, if he's looking very closely, he might see just a drop or two of something red near a rosebush.]

[wagashis]

[time to investigate that bush then! what's up in here, and does this look like more red ink?]

[themodsgrimm]

[It could be red ink. It could be blood! Where's Sanji to sniff or lick it when you need him...

Anyway, the rosebush is pretty. It's got both pink and red roses growing from it - and, apparently there's a beige-colored one, too! it's a bit deeper in the bush, partially obscured by leaves.]

[fine he'll sniff it then... he can identify blood or ink smell so let's find out. he isn't touching it though.

beige doesn't sound like it fits though? so after a quick sniff test he's going to cautiously shift the leaves aside to get a better look, trying to avoid thorns.]

[it's blood!

the beige thing looks like a flower... but the texture seems just a little off by sight. its petals don't seem as smooth, and in fact, as he shifts the leaves around it aside, it shifts to one side as well.

it doesn't have a stem.]

[yeah uh he's sure as Fuck not touching this mystery thing bare handed. are there gloves in the tailor? can I establish this is why he returns to the tailor again later? I have some concerns.]

[i mean if the investigation location is left unattended the investigation ends so... yeah he can run to the tailor, but...]

[why did I solo this.

okay he's going to use the bandage covered hand which is still more contact than he's comfy with but, as the kids these days say, yolo]

[the mysterious flower comes away with no problems!

once he pulls it out and has it in his hands, he'll see that it's made of fabric, and has been folded into the shape of a flower.]

[well then.

anything weird about it, any blood on this thing? or now that he thinks about it-- on the thorns near it? did someone get cut stashing it here...]

[there aren't any thorns! but some parts of it sure do seem to be covered in crimson liquid, now that he's gotten it out of the bush.]

[bless these roses for being thornless but what the fuck, then

is the liquid mostly on the outside, or-? also does it smell like more blood let's just get that out of the way.]

[it's soaked through - hard to tell which side it started on.

also it smells like ink]]

[having multiple red liquids is confusing sometimes

also the inky flower is coming along while he finishes checking out the pathways!]
