The Story Continues... CHAPTER 5 - WEEK 523 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. I don't want to vote for either of them--I don't think they did it.

However...if they are our only suspects, I think it would be remiss of me not to point out that one of them can heal, and would be a heavy loss to us.

I suppose that's the "luxury" of having two partners killed this week, but...[He doesn't like this.]

I wish we had a better way to know who's even doing this. It might be easier to see what they're thinking in that case.

Me too, but... I'm pretty sure if we knew who was doing it, they'd be dead already.

Not exactly a safe bet, we still don't know who we're relying on for that and if they could be dead.

If we vote for Dazai, it's a gamble, but are we seriously thinking Waver killed his own partner when this is a pretty highly likely outcome?

I don't think he did it. That'd be pretty stupid, he'd be relying on the whole partners of the dead partnering, too.

None of the deceased thus far have been mentioned to have such an ability.

[ The only danger then, is in if Dazai is the one who possesses that title. Waver is a healer, after all. ]

... That's right, without Waver, there's no one to pair him with.

But if you executed me instead of Sensei then they'll probably both be fine.

We have two options, I think. If we vote for Waver, then we're only losing two partner pairs this week. [Sousei and Jae-Ha, Reyna and Waver.] If we vote for Dazai, we put Evan and Waver at risk because there's no guarantee our partner-saver will choose to pair them up.

[I confused myself with my own comment so I'm trying again.]

We'll have to hope someone comes through for us, like in the previous weeks.

[He shakes his head.] It's still a risk if someone chooses not to pair them. We don't know that whoever they are would still choose to save Waver even if we didn't vote for them. Or Evan. Or both. That's the trouble with it.

...I hate to say it, but it's still at least one additional death tomorrow. If it's Dazai, we do risk a chance of not saving Evan and Waver. If it's Waver, that's just the end. That's why we should think on this carefully.

That's a good point, from a point of view. I don't know if I believe either of them did it, but... I think Waver is less likely to have done it.
