CHAPTER FIVE ; TRIAL
CHAPTER 5 - WEEK 5 Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. Throughout today's trial, cookies and cakes will be served as your trial snacks, along with hot cocoa...served in sippycups. ![]() Welcome to your trial post! [ The smile on Zelos' face is sharp. In case you didn't know, this method of expressing emotion is by being a flaming asshole (more than usual) ]
Congrats to whichever one of you jerks missed this.
[ he speaks a little louder, addressing the crowd more than Nico ]
You really screwed the pooch on this one!
[ yeah, he's mad ]

[Is Dazai upset? Dazai's upset, much more than before he realized it was Reyna missing.]
no subject
[ he shrugs
also my ass was at dinner BUT]By that logic the people who really fucked this one up weren't much help either. Besides, even with one whole eye I'd be hard pressed to miss a body— maybe we should start weekly vision tests, hm?

[She could have been in a location nothing was found in. It's not impossible.]
no subject
My Reyna-induced self-loathing started way before one of these jerks missed her body, that I promise you.

[TUGGING HIS HAIR, DEAR FUCKIN GOD]
Leave him be, we gotta figure out what happened to Reyna-chan!
no subject
Shut up.
[ translators note: he knows that and he is on the verge of having one (1) emotion so leave him alone, is what he means. ]
no subject
Bastard he gets it, just behave for literally two seconds?? Sanji's begging you to use that energy for a good cause.]
Yeah, yeah.
no subject
He would laugh if he wasn't so weary.
But hey, maybe he'll try for you Sanji.
Maybe. ]

But Nico does give Zelos a semi-sympathetic and semi-grateful look. It doesn't last too long though.]
...she has to be somewhere we can reach her, doesn't she? Otherwise they wouldn't provide a case for her.
no subject
I'm assuming, yeah.
[wiping his brow]
Eichi and I were in the kitchen and we checked that shit pretty thoroughly...
Someone was definitely there last night, though.
no subject
What exactly was found in the kitchen?
no subject
The faucet was running and there were breadcrumbs around.
[...]
But you know me. I keep that shit as clean as I can, and I keep inventory of everything. So I know someone must've been in there last night, even after I had left for the night.

[FOCUS SANJI]
Where did you find the vial? In the water?
no subject
[ He probably would've stepped on it and broken it but thankfully, Magnus got to it first. ]

From what I'm hearing yeah. More than finding whoever did this— she deserves better than floating around who knows where.
[ .. ]
You alright, kid?
no subject
Are you?
no subject
Well, frankly— I wasn't alright even before I got here.
[ ... ]
We'll find who did it, one way or another.
no subject
[...still.] Thank you, Zelos. [For helping, for bothering to care about her, everything. He doesn't think this needs an elaboration though.]

But considering the circumstances. he at the very least offers Nico a smile. Small, but genuine. ]
