The Story Continues... CHAPTER 5 - WEEK 5??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to this week's investigation post! This time, the mods will be providing top-levels for you to search. Please note the Locations page for your reference. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. [As Shirasu gets closer, he'll be able to tell that what he's seeing is a shoe peaking around from around the corner. Get a closer look?]

[and yes, he'll get a closer look! is this shoe attached to anything... or is this uno shoe, again.]

[As he comes even closer, he'll find that the shoe is attached to...a leg! Get a closer look?]

Ah- not exactly.

[not uno shoe after all... is the leg bone attached to the hip bone to the spine bone etc? or have we upgraded from uno shoe to uno leggy?]

oh. well then. if it's uno leggy, how tall is it, etc.]

[Yeah, you figured me and my shitpost out. It's uno leggy. The leg has been severed through the shin.]

[well that's unpleasant!!

but he's used enough to unpleasant, so it's leggy inspection time. specifically checking where it's severed to see if it's a clean cut, broken off, etc!]

[Farewell, Belph, down the path. Careful not to go too far, who knows where that Minotaur is! He doesn't find anything, though. It's like someone just dropped their leg. How clumsy?

And more on that leg. It was definitely ripped off, the break as far as clean as it could be...so it's odd there's no blood or ink anywhere. Depending on how close he's looking, he'll also see green scales where skin should be.]

Don't go too far, Belph.

[if you get gored while he's busy with this leg that's going to be an issue.

but... green scales, huh... he never saw the leggy but they do only have one Green Dragon as far as shirasu is aware. rip in, literally, pieces.

is there any ink or anything on the, uh, ripped off end?]

This is actually fairly clean, if... that helps.

[well, he returns with nothing. and he sees the scales, and—ah.

... I'm going to backtrack a bit.

[There isn't any blood or ink immediately visible, but if Shirasu looks real hard, he'll see the inside of the wound does glisten with crimson ink.]

[he'll note that and do one last check of the area-- does it look like the leg has been here a while, or does the rain make it hard to tell?

he's keeping it relatively quick so he can go make sure his partner doesn't mcdie out here, though.]

[back at the first fork, he's going to check out the straight path? and hopefully not die.]

[The rain, unfortunately, does make it impossible to tell. The severed leg is soaking wet and covered in mud, but there's no other evidence that can be seen. Checking out another path turns up empty results, as well.]

[alright I'm pretty sure we've checked everything near the leg... nothing on the hedges right??

if not, he's going to go rejoin belph!]

[Nope! Nothing but uno leggy!]

...it seems that's all. I wasn't able to find anything else.
