The Story Continues... CHAPTER 5 - WEEK 5??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to this week's investigation post! [I'm sorry, he's going to get away with it. These are breadcrumbs, as he'll... be able to smell.

The dripping water stops when Eichi turns the handle on the sink. Peering down there, he'll see faint traces of liquid, but that's pretty normal considering, like, there was just water.]

[It was either sniff or taste! And these crumbs could be poisoned!!]

You find anything?

[For his part, Sanji is going to look at the rest of the counter space to see if there are any other crumbs or telltale signs of someone having been in the kitchen. Otherwise he's going to start checking the cupboards]

Not at all. I can't tell if it was merely food washed down the drain from here, and I'd rather not reach into it.

[So, he'll let Sanji work on that and head over to the pantry, himself. His arm aches get pretty irritating, considering how he can't take pain, so he keeps rubbing at it between looking. But, is there anything amiss in the pantry?

He'll still call out to Sanji as he opens that door.]

There wasn't anything strange about those crumbs, was there? Was someone simply messy?

[The cupboards look the same as they always do! Every cup, plate, bowl, etc is accounted for. Luckily Sanji is familiar enough with the kitchen to be able to tell this!

The pantry itself doesn't appear to have anything out of place at first glance, either. Various foodstuff line the shelves here, neatly in order. Nobody's going to be starving any time soon.]

[HM. Nothing out of place. Sanji is still kinda shooketh over that, he's used to people just taking shit outta here wholesale.]

Yeah, just breadcrumbs. Could mean a sandwich, could mean any number of things...

[Cupboards accounted for, he's going to check the fridge next.]

You find anything?

How strange...

[Eichi doesn't see anything, but he steps in further to take a thorough look around. He doesn't want to be the one responsible for missing some hidden important clue, okay! So, he'll move food and boxes and jars aside to take a look at every shelf, and thankfully he's tall enough to check all of them!]

No, I haven't. I'm simply making sure... You haven't found anything strange either, have you?

[The fridge has dairy products and some leftovers in it! Nothing seems particularly out of place.

And the only thing Eichi finds as he moves around food and boxes and jars is ... more food and boxes and jars!]

Nothing so far.

... You're by the pantry, right? Can you check if anyone took any pieces of bread?

[He's thinking about the bread crumbs, basically, and is hoping the kitchen didn't just restock that shit already.]

What a relief... There's nothing bloody or scary in here at all.

[He's honestly glad, even if it means other people are finding horrible things elsewhere. But sure, he'll check on the bread!]

Let's see... I'll have a look. ♪

[There are loaves of bread in here! Some of them are missing pieces, but that's pretty normal from people eating things during the week. The kitchen hasn't restocked it overnight.]

The kitchen usually doesn't have too much in here...

[Which might be why he keeps coming in here first. That or he just wants his coffee.]

Find anything strange?

[Looking at the spice rack and the alcohol cabinet now... he fully expects the latter to be half-empty, AS PER USUAL.]

It doesn't appear as though the kitchen restocked anything, so there's some bread missing. Nothing is strange, however.

[He's tired of this useless pantry and leaves it, now moving back to Sanji's side to help him peer into the alcohol cabinet.]

There's nothing that I should... move to check behind, is there, do you think? [Sanji knows what he's asking, but he figures he'll check if he can be useful.]

[The alcohol cabinet is, perhaps, a little more empty than usual. But then again, it's been a tough week with multiple injuries.

The spice rack only contains spices.]

[concasse]

No, no. Don't worry about that.

[He does know what Eichi is asking and nah, not necessary.]

We might've found all there is, though...

[Like he'll give the stove a glance, again to see if anyone might've been cooking on it, but he's running out of places to check.]

In that case, would you like some tea? The others have likely searched their own areas by now, so...

[So he'd like to relax, he's tired just from the IDEA of a body. And his arm really hurts.]

[The stove doesn't look like it's been used since before curfew! Some people take their dinners here, after all.

But hey, if you're gonna make tea, it'll see some use this fine murder morning!]

[pERKING UP AT THE IDEA OF TEA]

[Doot-dee-doo, guess they are done with the investigation, may Sanji find some chill before he finds out one of his best friends is fuckin dead.]

Of course. I'll make something suited perfectly for breakfast.

[So they can relax despite hurt arms and have a moment of peace before Murder Reveals. He's going to cry over both the bodies this time! Yay!

Well, at least they found bread crumbs and saved some water.]
