The Story Continues... CHAPTER 5 - WEEK 5??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to this week's investigation post! This time, the mods will be providing top-levels for you to search. Please note the Locations page for your reference. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. It feels weird... but I don't think I've done anything to it. Maybe I slept on it weird? It hurts a little.

[Except, no, sometimes it twinges worse than that.]

[There's nothing to find from a cursory glance around the room. It doesn't appear as if anything has been disturbed on the tables at the center, and the spinning wheels seem to be normal, too.]

anyway, she'll go check out the baskets of fabric?? ]

Hopefully it'll feel better soon.

[She'll go to the east chest and open it up.]

... Do you ever feel, like, phantom pain where your leg is supposed to be?

[There's nothing in the baskets of fabric. Er, nothing odd, anyway. However, when Rebecca opens up the chest, she'll find two pairs of gloves that are definitely odd. Why? They're covered in stains.]

Find anything?

[ she'll just inspect the other baskets too. {

Uhh... it's a pair of stained gloves? I don't really want to, you know, touch them? In case I disturb evidence, but they're definitely here.

[Steph won't find anything in any of the other baskets. So far, these gloves are the most interesting things here, if potential murder-evidence is interesting to you.]

Gross.

[ then off to the clothing racks. ]

[What kind of stains are these or is it impossible to tell?

Once she's satisfied she's going to go to the other chest.]

Find anything yet?

[It looks like the stains on the gloves are crimson ink. They've seen enough of it at this point to be able to tell without much trouble. The other chest is empty, and the clothing racks don't show anything out of the ordinary.]

Nothing.

[ ok now to the mannequins...... ]

What are the stains?

It looks like crimson ink. So... somebody with a civilian title's is dead.

Any ideas...?

[The mannequins are fine, too! The gloves are still the only thing noteworthy to have been found here.]

Not yet.

[ steph has literally explored this entire room while rebecca found the only useful thing rip

she'll look over the remaining chest ]

If it was hidden then I guess it might actually matter.

They're gloves with crimson ink.

... Is that really all there is here? I mean, it's probably important, but I still don't want to touch them.

[The remaining chest also appears to be empty. Gomen, sleuths.]

... I think that might be it.
