CHAPTER 3 ; TRIAL

The Story Continues...
CHAPTER 3 - WEEK 3
29 Narrators Remain ;
Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve.

Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take.

By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Tiger at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand.

Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate.

Throughout today's trial, the delightful, delectable scent of freshly brewed coffee will linger in the air though there will be no coffee present. Instead, today's trial snacks include...finger foods.

[ waver's going to hold out the fingerprinting kit. ]

It seems that Lady Tiger was kind enough to give us another fingerprinting kit. It seems to be similar to last week's so we can only choose one object and twenty fingers. It might be a good idea to discuss which item to use first.

Unless Natsuo was stupid enough to ruin the hilt of the katana as well, I suggest that or the dagger, considering that it was used on all three victims.

The dagger looked like it was cleaned, so I wouldn't be surprised if they wiped the hilt of that. The katana's hilt might be a better pick.

I was thinking the same. It seems clean as well, but perhaps they were less cautious with its hilt, since it was left elsewhere.

That would, at least, guide us in the direction of Francis' killer.

Choose the item and dust it for prints before you choose fingers. Simply to make sure you don't take prints of the wrong ones.

A thumb print won't help you when you're comparing it to a pinkie finger, for instance.

You're the true detective-- which object do you believe we should fingerprint? The dagger had the blade cleaned, but we're unsure about the hilt. And the katana was ruined thanks to Natsuo stupidly good intentions, but the hilt appears otherwise untouched.

[. . . hm]

I think it'd be unlikely for there to be prints on either blade, anyway. So long as Natsuo didn't ruin the hilt of either weapon, then both should be equally as useful.

But I would fingerprint the katana.
