The Story Continues... CHAPTER 3 - WEEK 3??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to this week's investigation post! This time, the mods will be providing top-levels for you to search. Please note the Locations page for your reference. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. I'm a life that isn't technically supposed to exist. I've been called a monster because I exist, and people have died because I exist. So life is something precious to me.

Your partner killed someone last week. I won't deny that. But I think anyone who's had their life taken from them like this deserves to have the answer brought to light. As his partner, I think you deserve that too.

[ Ion's smile falters, just a moment, a flicker of something troubled or thoughtful passing over his expression. When he regathers himself his mask of serenity is weaker than it was before as he responds, slowly but carefully, ]

... Life... isn't inherently precious, I think. But... even if that's the case, it's still something everyone should seek to make the utmost of, when it's given to them. And perhaps through that, people can give their lives meaning.

You have as much a right to exist as anyone does, I believe.

[ that might be as close as he gets to simply accepting her words for what they are, to accepting that she truly and sincerely means what she says. ]

While I'm here... I want to use that right to make sure those who kill take responsibility. That's really all I can do right now.
