The Story Continues... CHAPTER 1 - WEEK 1??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to this week's investigation post! This time, you all will be posting your own locations that you wish to search. Please note the Locations page for your reference. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. You are then free to make your own toplevels on this post for any threads you would like to have between the end of the investigation and the start of the trial. Souji will also help to clear branches away, but he's going to stay on guard in case this person is just knocked out and comes out swinging or something.]

[The more the work to get the body cleared from the bush, the more it becomes obvious that whoever it is isn't going to be moving again anytime soon. The skin is pale and cold and the limbs heavy with the weight of the deceased.

Dave Strider is dead.]

[WELL THIS IS BAD AND SAD... Souji is quiet for a few seconds, but moves to act quickly.]

Help me look for anything we shouldn't move. We should take him back into the building, but we can't risk muddying things.

[Which he will check the bush for! Both signs of anything left behind, other signs of a struggle, and injuries on whatever parts of Dave they can see without lifting him up.]

[Considering the snowfall, it would make sense for there to be footprints of evidence of any kind at all...however...there's nothing. Not a thing that the two of them didn't disturb themselves. It's as if there was never anyone here at all.

It's easy enough to determine the cause of death for Dave; as they move his body out completely from the bush they'll notice that his neck has been snapped.]

... Doesn't seem like there's anything around—which, if anything, is weirder.

[anyway he's trying to avoid looking too closely at dave's neck. ergh.

I didn't see any footsteps around here, outside of ours... It doesn't look like there are any signs of a struggle either, right?

[He'll check Dave's body for any other obvious injuries but after establishing it's a snapped neck, he'll work on trying to get him out of the bush. He's going to need help carrying Dave back since Dave is like 2 inches taller than him and also Dead.]

[The entire area around the wishing well is completely undisturbed. They'll have to puzzle that one out later. For now, there's nothing here that's left to investigate.]

No... even though his tapestry suggests he's a good fighter.
