The Story Continues... CHAPTER 1 - WEEK 1??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to this week's investigation post! This time, you all will be posting your own locations that you wish to search. Please note the Locations page for your reference. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. You are then free to make your own toplevels on this post for any threads you would like to have between the end of the investigation and the start of the trial. [Who, indeed! At least this time, there are not particularly messy piles, though some things have evidently been tampered with. He does get a weird feeling, though, like all the armor head plates are staring at him, judging.]

[Just glares back at the armor.]

Don't even try to dance. Don't even think about it.

[He's going to step up to take a close look at what's been tampered with? What's going on here?]

[and shirasu comes in a bit behind him because teej is slow shh]

I doubt that would change its mind...

[but he also hopes for no dancing armor, thanks.

he'll check a different spot from fitz if things are tampered with though! time to have a look too.]

[Fortunately for Fitz, nothing begins to dance. What a spoilsport. What they will discover, however, is that five spears are missing. There's most likely a reasonable explanation, but it's always good to keep your inventory in mind when murders are happening.]

[HUH.]

Hm. Did people not put them back after sparring for the week...?

[wagashis]

I suppose not, but we'll have to see if they were all still accounted for out there.

[gonna have to check on that later! but for now, is there anything else that's amiss?]

[Nope! This investigation was short and relatively painless for the two of them. However...can they hear a faint sound of metallic clanking coming from down the hallway? Can they feel the spirit of dance approaching?

Maybe they should be on their way before we have to dish out some more hard truths about who may or may not ever be shit.]

[spondulix]

Oh, not again.

[He just....pokes his head out of the room in the direction of the sound, and raises his voice:]

Go dance yourself into the wishing well for all I care, you idiotic lunk of metal!

[That being said, he lets out a huff, turning back to Shirasu.]

Let's go before we have to deal with that thing again, shall we?

[I can and I will keep doing this, but the clanking stops and about-faces. It seems the sound of Fitzgerald's voice strikes fear into certain animated suits of armor who only want to dance good God.
