CHAPTER 1 ; MINGLE
CHAPTER 1 - WEEK 1 Is it a little cold in here? Or is it just the existential dread? Monday comes, washing away the past week like a sweep of ink on a new page – oops, too soon? Narrators will find that there are some… changes in the new morning though. For one, there appear to be real, true doors scattered around the first floor of the castle that lead outside. Yes, outside. And for once, not a fake outside – but rather, a very sincere, very real outside. You can follow the path to the garden where trial was hosted on Saturday, though you’ll find there won’t be anyone there to serve tea and crumpets for you. Still, it’s beautiful, lush, and… chilly! Oh, it appears as though you’ve been welcomed outside just as the weather took a turn for the lower temperatures. Bundle up! By Tuesday, snow will begin to flutter from the sky. The snowfall will build up to a neat five inches by Thursday. Luckily, the fireplaces in your chambers are burning brightly enough to keep you warm while indoors… for now. As if assisting with your cold troubles, Sharpay and Gi-gan's tapestries in the Dining Hall will suddenly become alight in flame from the bottom, fire licking at the tapestries until they disappear entirely from the walls. No trace is left behind. Mysterious. Outside, you’ll also find that the path to the woods are open, as well as the Wishing Well and – a sprawling hedge maze. Oh. Be careful! Looks a little tricky. However, as if you’re not allowed to forget exactly what it is that you’re here for, all Narrators will find that the Title List in their chambers has been updated. In addition, all partners will undergo a strange feeling of paranoia when separated from their partner. It will begin as an odd, nagging feeling, but intensify as the week goes on. This will continue until Thursday's curfew begins.  Welcome to Week 1, everyone! Today we'll be rolling out additional mechanics, so please direct your attention to the Wishing Well page and take note of our partner effects. We would also like to remind players to submit all of their Prologue PCs and new PCs at the Private Conversations page and review the weekly ooc notes for important details in the castle. Something chilly will be arriving on Wednesday, June 13th so keep your eyes peeled for that as well.
