The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 037 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. So- [ONCE AGAIN] - was it you who controlled the armor?

Absolutely not. Why would I choose to control the armor?

So the armor had...absolutely nothing to do with the case? Why was Gi-gan found in armor, then?

Honestly, you might as well just explain how you did the murder at this point.

[There's a sigh. Belph, Belph, Belph...]

Gi-Gan was wandering the castle before curfew, maybe 7pm? I found her and I cornered her when she was caught off-guard and in the tailor. Carrying her down the stairs was a little difficult but once you catch your balance it's easier to adjust for the weight. Hiding her in the armor was actually the easy part, she hadn't completely frozen up yet. But the ink was harder...so I changed to eliminate the evidence, went to find Akechi and went to find Jae-Ha. Simple, really.

[This explains almost nothing.]

[She raises her eyebrows.] Of course I did. Don't we all? I should think that was obvious.

[ he bows his head for a moment in apology, but then brings it back up ]

Would you believe that your role is related to some aspect of yours? Personality, your life before here, anything?

[She tilts her head in thought, trying to decide how to answer that.]

Maybe. But I've never been poor. [Is there a further explanation? Eh. Maybe.]

Why?

[it's the most obvious question, and yet. . . he's asking it anyway]

I was chosen and I was promised something. And it was something I wanted as long as I could complete my objective.

[doublecrows]

Chosen?

[a quirk of a brow, a downward turn of his lips. the being promised something isn't surprising; the rule book did mention wishes, after all. but being chosen. . .]

What were you chosen for?

...[And here she looks ashamed.] Gi-Gan said something to me the day before, at the festival. "I thought I'd let you young people take a turn first." And I thought this would turn out differently than it did.

[vigilantics]

[ that's such a... simple reason to pick someone. it's a little surreal, but in this kind of environment, most of the reasons why someone gets picked probably won't be too deep. ]

Yeah. I was hoping it would too.

[ she sighs. ]

[hairbrain]

[ hand hovering over her frying pan. :/ ]

It's time for answers, Sharpay. Explain.

What were you promised that made you think that murdering would solve your problems?
