The Story Continues...
PROLOGUE - WEEK 037 Narrators Remain ;

Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve.

Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take.

By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand.

Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate.

So - a strength test, then. I don't think we should do it with the body itself. [They've, uh, disrespected it enough.] Is there anyone approximately the same size and weight as her that we could use to test it?

A few are close to her height, I think, but I can't recall her weight. It might be a little hard to make an accurate comparison with a living person, anyway.

Why do they have to be unconscious to be carried...

Do you want an explanation, or a demonstration? A demonstration may be faster.

No, I'm saying- I can carry you no problem, but you can be awake for it!

The distribution of weight is different when someone is conscious or unconscious. Someone who's out cold is going to be more difficult to carry than someone who is awake.

If we're looking to replicate what happened that night, we can't risk someone inadvertently making themselves easier to carry.

Is it really different? What if we just get the heaviest person to be carried?

If the person being carried significantly outweighs the victim, it won't yield accurate results either.

That's complicated... I thought if they can lift a heavy guy, anyone light wouldn't be a problem.

You realize that makes you suspicious, doesn't it?

Natsuo-kun is the type of person who, if guilty, would probably yell so at the top of his lungs, you know? That innocent comment should be ignored.

I don't disagree - but he should take care with how he speaks. It would be unfortunate if, should we find ourselves grasping at straws, we had nothing else to clutch at but that sort of admission.
