The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 037 Narrators Remain ; Wakey wakey, naughty murder children. It's a lovely Saturday, after all. Breakfast is served piping hot at its usual time and all of the evidence has been removed from the scenes of yesterday. No matter how you choose to spent your morning though, the clock will begin to chime the moment both hands reach the large, ornate twelve. Before your eyes materializes a door...but not just any door. Unlike the door leading to the festival, this door sits primly and properly right in front of the foyer. Whether you exit the castle on your own or you feel a friendly, invisible push, you begin to walk under an arc of wisterias. Behind you, the clock continues to chime with every step you take. By the time the time the clock strikes twelve, you've entered a beautiful garden. In front of you is a long table, 19 seats on each side. Around the garden are several glass cases containing evidence collected yesterday. As noon intensifies on the sun-shaped clock, you'll find Dragon at the head of the table, a glass-covered rose near her right hand. Tick tock, Narrators. You have nine hours to deliberate. Jae-ha's had time to think on this though, and his answer is simple:]

Someone she would've been too kind to kill herself. My Captain possessed strength and smarts to take down bands of mercenaries - but her warm heart would have limited her.

Well I've certainly no idea. But I also hardly understand why you lot do half the things you do.

Perhaps to obscure their footprint? I would at least imagine that half a footprint is harder to match than the full one.

[ He points to her body without looking at it- he's still refusing to look, so Jae-ha will have to do it ]

It doesn't look like she fought at all, right? If it's an attack, there should be bruises and cuts and stuff too!

So we're going to start with checking shoes? Seems like as good a place to start as any.

No, that won't be necessary. It's certainly one with a shoe.

[There are several mirrors each depicting a room in the castle from yesterday's investigation. Which one would Rebecca like to peer into?]

S'bit harder to identify half a shoe than a full one, too.

If you were that concerned with obscuring evidence, wouldn't you have wiped the footprint entirely?

It is at least something, though hardly anything ideal.

Luckily those mirrors can make up for some of the failings of the absolutely abysmal materials I have to work with. If we find a close enough match, then a second comparison to the mirror's image would be best to eliminate any doubt.

You're also less stable, I don't think the trade-off is worth it.

[That sure is a lot of confetti and sequins and glitter. It seems to have come from Wednesday's festival and spread across the stairs. It also appears to be too small to be from a disco ball.]
