The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 0??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to your first investigation post! This time, as it is tutorial week, we will be posting toplevels for searchable locations; moving forward, you will post your own toplevels for locations you wish to searh. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 3-4 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. You are then free to make your own toplevels on this post for any threads you would like to have between the end of the investigation and the start of the trial. This part of the manor seems happily safe, so he's going to nod briefly to... possibly no one if Monika and Jae-ha are focused on each other which is pretty fair (thanks Sousei), before he turns on his heel to go.

There's still a lot of rooms to check out and everything seems mostly put together here, and he trusts Sanji will look after Monika while he's exploring the kitchen. He's just not the sort to hang around once he's seen the situation for himself.

[Well, there's not any blood! That's a good sign. There is a bruise that looks in line with what you might get falling down the stairs.

Fane will discover that, for the most part, everything is as it should be. The dining hall appears as if it hasn't been used for breakfast preparations, and Gi-gan's tapestry continues to drip black ink down onto the floor. It does look, however, as if some of these ink splatters have been streaked across the floor.]

[Hey, don't go too far Sousei. There's a suit of armor blocking your pathway out of the kitchen. It begins to breakdance, then abruptly stops and points at you and each of the others, waiting for a challenge.]

[ corpse o'clock averted!! he will give her a gentle shoulder nudge to see if that rouses her from not death. ]

[ Fane walks up to the puddle of ink, and though he's carefully to not walk into it (he hardly wants to tread that mess anywhere else, thank you), he does take a closer look at the streaks of ink. He's mostly looking to see the size of whatever was dragged through it or if it's approximately foot shaped.

He doesn't say anything yet though because he sucks... I'm sorry he's like this ]

[ tbf if Kyouka could've gotten the sword, she would've done her best to cut the breakdancing suit of armor to pieces.

Instead, she steps aside to let Fitzgerald do his thing.

If it can be done, she'll accept it easily and Fitzgerald will for once not be a menace to society (in Kyouka's book). ]

Maybe we should wake him up? He probably knows what happened to him.

[Don't slap him wtf Cardia. But yes hello, Nico is very much dead asleep. Haha, I think I'm funny. Anyway he's pretty much passed out under his sword-nest, unaware of what's going on around him. He doesn't appear to be injured sans maybe getting poked by those swords if Souji's not careful.

[Its head does not come off, but the suit of armor stumbles. It looks disgruntled, if it's possible for a suit of armor to ... look that way.

Then it wanders off in the direction of the kitchen for another challenge.

This leaves them free to pry the other suit of armor open. It will take some doing, but when they do, Gi-gan collapses at their feet. She isn't moving.]

[Souji will be very careful! No one's getting tetanus on his watch, probably, even if they might get tuberculosis.]

A glass of water to the face usually does the trick, I think...? Or making loud noises.

[There are plenty of shields and weapons here to do that with, at least. Souji would go get one but he's busy making sure Nico doesn't die in his swordnest.]

[ Monika doesn't try to stop Jae-ha from acting adorable and manly and protecting her and all, but really her attention is on the suit of armor. Her eyes are a little wide, and though her expression doesn't really change all that much,

if looks could kill,

that armor would spontaneously evaporate.
