The Story Continues... PROLOGUE - WEEK 0??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to your first investigation post! This time, as it is tutorial week, we will be posting toplevels for searchable locations; moving forward, you will post your own toplevels for locations you wish to searh. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 3-4 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. You are then free to make your own toplevels on this post for any threads you would like to have between the end of the investigation and the start of the trial. [Dazai would be more concerned about Gi-gan and the implication of a person whose tapestry was at the front being probably dead, except there's the clank of a suit of armor and what the actual fuck.]

[ Monika, on the other hand, simply sits back on her heels and dissolves into tears. The emotional whiplash just overwhelms her defenses and she can't hold them back.

So hopefully Jae-ha enjoys being thoroughly manhandled because after Sanji shakes him Monika will throw her arms around this stranger,

which is helpful. ]

[Oh, Jesus. Thank the lord??? She's sighing in relief, but not before starting to walk towards the ripped over clothing rack. With the corpse situation not... being an actual corpse situation, she's going to call over her shoulder:]

Hey, uh... Guys? Do you remember if this was tipped over yesterday?

[With that, she's crouching down to take a closer look. Besides the fact that it's tipped over, is there anything else readily apparent about it?]

[ Fane at least holds out a bony hand once he notices that Ion is, in fact, breathing. ]

Luckily, no need. It seems that he simply has an exceedingly poor taste for where to take a nap.

[ He drops his ankle not at all gingerly, so it probably falls with a thud. Fane will let the two of them take care of Ion, since he instead starts to look around the room. Is there anything notably out of place? ]

[The dog's ears twitch in Magnus's direction at the sound of his name, and he stops growling. He pads over to him and sniffs at him, and then... relents?

He smells like Annabeth, so it's fine.

Aurum pads back over to the body again and nudges it. Still no motion from the person, alas. But Magnus and Ann can probably get closer now.]

[and because Jae-ha sucks, he's naturally going to enjoy the shaking more than the actual crying. but no he was totally into that, even if he's more than a little bit startled

when there's suddenly a crying girl in his arms he's going to just. immediately hold her and bring a hand up to brush her hair aside because he should at least see who he's consoling]

[Give her a second to look around...note where she's at...and start shrieking.]

...on the other hand she chills a little when she sees Steph and Akechi.] And if I knew that why would I still be here? What time is it?

[The purple stain looks more like ink than jam, but you'll probably have to lick it to find out for sure.

There are five empty hangars attached to the rack. From the rest of what's on there, those hangars probably contained dresses at one point in time.

On the floor by the rack, though, there's some scattered tobacco, and a pipe half-hidden by the clothes still on the rack.]

I tried taking the sword off the suit of armor. [ The one Gi-gan is in. ] But it wouldn't move.

[ Since she couldn't move the sword, she has no chance with the full body, so she turns to the breakdancing version. She knows a challenge when she sees it, so she... mirrors the dance it did. Exactly. More gracefully, in fact. ]

[ god bless those chase smells. he was ready to throw jack and hope aurum would fetch!! ]

Good boy, Aurum. Okay, let's check on your owner, huh?

[ he'll just kneel and lift the purple fabric and hope that reyna gets to go to college in new rome like annabeth is. ]

[Once Jae-Ha is awake, Sanji is up and standing, shoulders bunched and ready to storm off to check the rest of the kitchen, though he'll throw a request over his shoulder]

Monika-chan, can you explain shit to him? I'm gonna see if there's anything out of place here.

[ Ion hasn't talked to Nico at all! Still, he'd rather not have confirmation that someone among them apparently wants to shank people??? :/

Ion sort of just sags a little while looking very solemn, letting his staff carry more of his weight. ]

[... She'll prod his face and wonder if he'll just wake up.]

[The suit of armor turns toward Natsuo and nudges him away from Gi-gan's armor. Apparently, they have to go through him before they can investigate the other one in more detail—

But it is distracted when Kyouka accepts its challenge. It nods once, then busts out a slightly more complex set of moves that concludes with an upside-down spin.

...

There is the sound of much metallic creaking.]

[ ohhhhh my god the sound of metal on metal is grating and Natsuo wants to finish this as quickly as he can.

If the sword is stuck to the armor's hand, what if Natsuo just tries prying off the entire gauntlet? Sorry Gi-gan, he might break a wrist bone or two driving his elbow into the metal plating to trying to loosen something up, but this is the only way he knows how to fight. ]

[ JUST ... SOBS, ONCE, WHEN JAE-HA STARTS HOLDING HER? why is any of this happening.

Sanji's request helps ground her, and she'll sit up, wiping at her face. ]

Sorry... [ She clears her throat. ] We all woke up to total silence, and the clock chiming... when we came to investigate, you were just here, unconscious on the floor. We ... we thought you were dead!

And as for the crime of moving you, of that I know I'm innocent. I can't speak for the others, but I do imagine they are as well.
