The Story Continues... CHAPTER 3 - WEEK 3??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to this week's investigation post! This time, the mods will be providing top-levels for you to search. Please note the Locations page for your reference. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. [ He doesn't turn to look at her, but he knows her presence well enough at this point to instinctively be aware of it. ]

[ His hand stops, and he wiggles the knife between his fingers ]

Not to get too caught up in details, but I said some things to her that were hardly nice. She gave this to me to prove a point— wasn't even mad about any of what I said, just smiled and told me I was wrong.

[Reyna walks forward so that she can stand beside him, then, her gaze coming to rest on Monika's still, unmoving form.]

...that was a kind way of handling it.

[Kinder than Zelos is probably used to, she thinks.]

Honestly? I thought she was pretty stupid a lot of the time.

[ Anyway, flipping the knife in the air once again. ]

But yeah, she was kind on top of that. Funny too, and weirdly patient no matter how you talked to her.

[She could point out that the people Zelos thinks are stupid are actually pretty smart, but this is maybe not the best time for that.]

It sounds like you knew her pretty well.

[Which makes the loss all the more difficult.]

[ He catches the knife one last time, finally turning to face her. ]

[ in the context of their past conversations, he knows she'll get more out of those words than he wants her to. ]

[ He starts walking before she responds. ]
