The Story Continues... CHAPTER 3 - WEEK 3??? Narrators Remain ; The clock begins to chime, and on the first note, curfew lifts. Your doors swing open, whether you are ready or not. Leaving your room is a blur. The person you fell asleep beside — are they still there? Have they vanished? Were they ever there at all? You can't seem to recall clearly. What you are most aware of is the pervading sense of wrongness in the air, and how you can't hear anything but the chime of the clock. Even the sounds of your own voice and your own footsteps do not reach your ears. By the time the time the clock strikes nine, you know one thing to be true: blood has been spilt. Search the castle carefully — you wouldn't want to miss a single important detail, would you...? Welcome to this week's investigation post! This time, the mods will be providing top-levels for you to search. Please note the Locations page for your reference. Evidence — or lack thereof — will be noted in these threads. We ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. After the discovery of the body (or bodies) and any pertinent evidence, an IC announcement concluding the investigation will go up. [ well, once it becomes apparently that throwing water at it does not make things worse, stephanie immediately reenters the kitchen to see what's happening. ]

Why the hell did they do this? To destroy evidence?

[Strangely, no matter how hard Sanji looks, he won't find any source. It's almost as if the fire was set magically.]

Well... maybe if we keep searching...

[Waving his hand in front of his face to clear out more of the smoke, Sanji will then go to the usual spots where shit is usually missing -- did someone take butterknives or are we upgrading to murder forks?]

[ while he does that, steph will just open cabinets to poke through them. especially the one that was starting to catch on fire before. ]

[That's an incredibly astute meta text tag, because a fork is missing for real, actually. Other than that, Sanji's inventory as he knew it is accounted for. Steph won't find anything else missing, either.]

[Why does everyone keep taking shit from his kitchen?]

... A missing fork.

Can you kill someone with a fork?

[A shudder. He waves more smoke out of his eyes.]

Did you find anything?

[Sanji is still going to search a little bit, though more casual glances from what he can see through the smoke. Anything off about the kitchen (surface stuff, like any marks and such. He doesn't want to bring in MAGIC as an excuse unless absolutely necessary)?]

You could, in theory, kill someone with a fork.

But there's nothing out of place in the cabinets.

[For now, it looks like "magic" is what he's going to have to live with. Outside of it having been very definitely a lot on fire for what must have been a decent amount of time, there's no evidence of any kind of struggle to be found.]

Whatever, Sanji is going to get a drink from the fridge first. Smoke dries you out and shit, so he's going to grab water for Stephanie, too.]

No marks around, either. But why have a fire in the kitchen... Makes it seem like there's something to hide.

[Ugh if he's gotta look through every cabinet, HE FUCKIN WILL.]

[After giving Stephanie some water, Sanji's going to do one more go around through all the cabinets because if someone stole a plate on top of a fork... that actually wouldn't be that surprising but he'd still be mad, tbf]

[There are no missing plates, and the freezer and oven are clear of anything suspicious or out of the ordinary!]

WHELP if nothing else turns up, Sanji is going to sigh and glance behind them]

Doesn't look like there's anything else... we should probably check to see if anyone else found shit.

steph will quickly check the sink just in case!! ]

The sink is clear, assuming everyone has been doing their dishes!]

[Sanji is a goddamn housewife so them dishes better be clean.

But after Steph glances at the sink and finds nothing, IT IS OFF. TO ADVENTURE.
