The Story Continues... END OF CHAPTER 1 - WEEK 134 Narrators Remain ; It's execution day, naughty murder children. Breakfast is served in the dining hall, all the better to fortify you for what is to come. Wherever you might wander in the castle, you will find yourself drawn to the foyer when the clock strikes not twelve, but ten. In the distance, there is the sound of clanking armor. Ann Takamaki appears, flanked on either side by suits of armor, escorting her to her punishment. She stares straight ahead with each step closer to the group that they take. A moment later, the Tiger appears on the foyer's staircase. Her hand trails down the banister as she sashays down it, and she takes her place at the head of the group, standing in front of what appears to be a wall. "Come along, darlings," she says. "The execution awaits." You blink, and then it's there — a door leading to the outside. The Tiger steps through it. You have no choice but to follow. Welcome to your second execution post! [The apology seems to net him some genuine confusion, if brief. It wasn't exactly a warrior's death, but it's not like he's unused to seeing people spill blood, and he can't pinpoint what the sorry is for.

But knowing he'd been compelled to act out the kill - that does leave a sour sort of feeling behind, on Eichi's behalf. He shakes his head gently.]

Please, you don't need to apologize for something like that. You were used as much as any of us.

I've found that those with kind hearts seem very concerned for me when I wind up in situations that are rough. I didn't want to upset anyone.

[So, he's worried about others watching him. Plus, it stains his reputation, no matter what people say, and he doesn't like that...]

[Eichi... Souji can only offer a small, tired-looking smile and reaches out carefully to rest a hand against his arm. It's a very brief touch, though.]

You should save some of that worry for yourself too, you know?

I can keep going like this.

[He doesn't need to worry, not when everyone else already is. He can't be that weak, that pathetic. He needs to stop with that and step up. The touch is a comfort, and he leans the smallest bit into it.]

I'll be fine, Souji-san.

...I believe you.

[Kinda has to, because not being fine is not a good option in murder castle... Whatever reservations he might have, they can wait, anyway. However Eichi needs to cope with this is how he needs to cope, and that's that.]

[Eichi bows his head a little in his thanks, and also to hide his expression. He doesn't want anyone to see him like this for very long at all. He can't help it... Though he doesn't want to be alone, he may need some alone time, after all.]

[After a second of hesitation, he reaches forward to pat Eichi's head gently. It's not a derisive or diminutive gesture so much as a genuine attempt at comfort. He's soothed the most by things like this, himself, and figures it might do a little good here.

But with that done and nothing left to say, he nods once, stepping away to give Eichi some space and time.]

From Souji, it doesn't feel demeaning at all. If anything, it leaves warmth at Eichi's cheeks and surprise in his eyes, but he's quiet as he watches Souji walk away.]
