END OF CHAPTER 1 ; EXECUTION
END OF CHAPTER 1 - WEEK 1 It's execution day, naughty murder children. Breakfast is served in the dining hall, all the better to fortify you for what is to come. Wherever you might wander in the castle, you will find yourself drawn to the foyer when the clock strikes not twelve, but ten. In the distance, there is the sound of clanking armor. Ann Takamaki appears, flanked on either side by suits of armor, escorting her to her punishment. She stares straight ahead with each step closer to the group that they take. A moment later, the Tiger appears on the foyer's staircase. Her hand trails down the banister as she sashays down it, and she takes her place at the head of the group, standing in front of what appears to be a wall. "Come along, darlings," she says. "The execution awaits." You blink, and then it's there — a door leading to the outside. The Tiger steps through it. You have no choice but to follow. ![]() Welcome to your second execution post! Why do you care?
[he framed Reyna. he framed Waver's partner. why does he care if Akechi is breathing better or not?]

[ but it's not like waver looks too happy either. then again, when does he? ]
However, do not mistake my politeness as kindness; I'm extremely disappointed in you. But I do not hate or dislike you...I believe you already feel enough of that towards yourself.

[normally a comment like that might make Akechi bristle, lash out, defend himself with a desperate and reckless abandon (even though it's true, no one hates Akechi more than Akechi). but he's exhausted. he's pale and wan and so so tired from what happened yesterday]
[so he just shoots back, words sharp]
You wouldn't know.

[ never being a good enough mage. being surpassed by his own students. being forced to stay on the bottom for the rest of his life, despite his struggles to better himself. ]
The belief of 'kill or be killed' is another one I know well. However, I do not wish to compete with you. You had your own reasons, as foolish as they must be. [ a pause ] Because that's what it's like when you're young. You make rash decisions for stupid reasons-- then regret them for the rest of your life.

[killing Soo-Won for the sake of survival? nah. he can't regret that]
[. . . watching idly as Ann fell underneath the bus for his sake, so he might live another week? watching Reyna be scapegoated, even though she had done nothing wrong?]
[. . .]
[he'll say he doesn't regret either of those two things. but some small part of him may feel a little bad]

but he doubts that there's going to be any getting through akechi today. so waver sighs, and decides that this is enough for today. ]
Chamomile tea is known for decreasing inflammation-- it might help your eye heal a little faster. I'm sure these kitchens must have some. [ and with that, he turns away-- he needs some of that tea as well. ]

[the only response Akechi has to that advice is a low noise of understanding, indicating that he heard what Waver suggested. he's recently become a coffee person, much to his chagrin (fuck u, Kurusu), but tea. . . will always have a special place in his heart as something that can calm the nerves]
[but with that, he watches Waver go, before he turns away and just exhales a deep, exhausted breath]
