The Story Continues... END OF CHAPTER 1 - WEEK 134 Narrators Remain ; It's execution day, naughty murder children. Breakfast is served in the dining hall, all the better to fortify you for what is to come. Wherever you might wander in the castle, you will find yourself drawn to the foyer when the clock strikes not twelve, but ten. In the distance, there is the sound of clanking armor. Ann Takamaki appears, flanked on either side by suits of armor, escorting her to her punishment. She stares straight ahead with each step closer to the group that they take. A moment later, the Tiger appears on the foyer's staircase. Her hand trails down the banister as she sashays down it, and she takes her place at the head of the group, standing in front of what appears to be a wall. "Come along, darlings," she says. "The execution awaits." You blink, and then it's there — a door leading to the outside. The Tiger steps through it. You have no choice but to follow. Welcome to your second execution post! [he spits out, words drawn tight, like the string of a bow]

[Yasusada laughs. It's not a nice sound.]

You say that, but your partner just killed Ann-kun with his bare hands because she was brave enough to be honest. She will always be a better person than you, now.

[She's dead, and with that, she no longer has the chance to do something cowardly or despicable. On the other hand, Akechi has the rest of his life (however short or long that may be) to make awful choices.]

You get to survive with everyone here knowing you tried to get Reyna-kun killed. Does that make you happy?

[those words hurt. they sting, they tear right through him like arrows loosened from a nock. they sting, because they're true. they sting because he knows this is a far worse punishment than a swift execution ever would have been]

[he curls his mouth back in a sneer and whirls on Yasu, hands clenched into fists at his sides]

So, what? Are you here to rub it in?

[In turn, Yasusada meets his gaze unflinchingly; he may not have his supernatural strength here, but that doesn't mean his experiences have disappeared. Akechi is far from intimidating.]

No. [Yasusada can be petty if he really wants to be, but frankly, he doesn't care enough about Akechi to waste his time with it.] I was just answering you. You're the one that spoke first.

[Akechi looks away, unable to meet that firm, unflinching gaze]
